It depicts the beautiful scenery of the Longji Rice Terraces in different seasons, tells the reasons why the local ethnic minorities built the terraces based on the local conditions, and introduces the working principle of the terraces. By studying this material, students can learn about the rational use and changing of nature by human beings, have a thorough apprehension of the harmony between local people and nature, and have a better understanding of local people's concept of environmental protection.Text structure: Paragraph one serves as the introduction to the beauty of the terraces. Paragraph two gives account of the history; Paragraph three talks about the reasons for building the terraces; Paragraph four explains the working principle of the terraces.
