when是疑问副词，意为“什么时候”，引导特殊疑问句。句式是 “When+一般疑问句?”，when可以对年、月、日和时刻提问。
—When d yu have lunch? 你什么时候吃午饭？—At abut twelve ’clck. 大约12点。
when 与 what time
意为“什么时候”, 可以对年、月、日以及时刻进行提问, 或者询问某一动作发生的时间, 回答时常用介词 at, in, n等组成的表示时间的介词短语。
意为“几点”, 用于询问具体的时间, 如几点几分, 通常直接回答某个时间点。
2.My birthday is n May 2nd. 我的生日是在5月2日。
(1) 表示日期时, 月份的首字母必须大写, 2nd 是序数词 secnd 的简写, 用来表示顺序。表示日时, 通常用序数词表示。(2) 当日期具体到某天时, 用介词 n。

表示日期具体到某天：n July 10, 2012 (在2012年7月10日)
表示一天中的上午、下午、晚上或某月、某年：in the mrning (在早上) in September (在九月)
