教学过程 | 1.Warm-up Activity 1) Students watch the video and think about what are those rooms in the video. 2) Teacher teaches vocabulary of different rooms in a house. 3) Teacher chants “Room of a house” with students to reinforce their memory of the vocabulary learned.
2.Listen and Chant 1) Teacher asks students “Where is Tom?” and guides them to find the answer in the video. 2) Teacher plays the video and then instructs students to chant again with correct pronunciation.
3.Listen, Read and Act out 1) Teacher leads in the text with context information. 2) Then teacher plays a video. After that, students are required to match rooms with different people based on what they have watched in the video. 3) Teacher does close reading. Important words and phrases are highlighted. 4) Time will be given to students to act out the dialogues.
4.Listen, Read and Act out 1) Teacher instructs students to look at pictures and answer the multiple choices question. 2) Questions are given to students. They are asked to answer them after watching the video. 3) Students are given time to find certain English phrases in the text. 4) Teacher guides students to read the text together. 5) Students act out the dialogue in roles.
5.Listen and Say 1) Teacher guides students to read the dialogues. 2) Teacher plays the audio to correct certain pronunciation. 3) Students read the dialogues again in roles.
6.Key points 1) Teacher explains sentence pattern “Where did + subject +base verb…?” and its response.
7.Practise 1) According to the picture, students are asked to find corresponding objects and rooms and present the answer in the sentences. 2) Teacher instructs students to fill in the blank based on the pictures. |
