Reading task Lead the students to read the text and finish the tasks. Task1: Answer the questions. 1. Where is People's Square? 2. What famous buildings can you see if you visit People's Square? 3. What can you see if you go to the Bund at night? 4. Is Yu Garden a modern building? 5. What can you buy outside Yu Garden? Task2: Complete the spidergram using information from the article on page 73. Task3: Add more information to the spidergram. Task4:Finish C1 and C2 on the book.
Post-reading Lead the Ss to plan a one-day tour of Shanghai.
