    After cmpleting my first year f studies, I decided t relax by taking a trip thrugh ne f the mst richly cultured cuntries in Asia: Nepal.
    The first thing I nticed abut Nepal was its peple. Kind and friendly, ready t help smene in need. I’m saying s because f what I’ve witnessed between the citizens themselves, rather than hw they treated me as a visitr. It is shwn in the way bus cnductrs and passengers alike keep the bus waiting fr that last passenger wh is lagging behind (落后). It is evident in hw a mtrist smiles and waves ff a kid wh runs nt the street after his ball. The peple are like a ht bwl f sup n a rainy day.
    The first place I visited in Nepal was the Sauraha village in the district f Chitwan. It is an amazingly peaceful place, where the peple live life at their wn pace. It is a great area t see sme f the wildlife, such as rhins and elephants. The capital city f Kathmandu was where I spent mst f my time. The city is usually very dusty, s make sure t wear a mask. Anther great area in Kathmandu is the district f Thamel. Unlike mst ther districts, Thamel is very busy thrughut the day. Out f all the places I’ve been t within Nepal, Pkhara is undubtedly the best place t visit. There are a lt f fun things t try ut. I’ve gne paragliding as well as bating in Fewa Lake, but yu can als g rafting, zip flying and paramtring.
    Nepal is a very affrdable destinatin t travel t. I travelled thrugh the cuntry fr abut tw mnths, and spent a little ver 500 US dllars. Accmmdatin arund Nepal is inexpensive, mstly varying frm abut 500 t 1, 500 rupees per night per persn. During my stay in Kathmandu, I stayed at a great htel fr tw weeks, fr 300 rupees per night, which is a great deal.
    In a wrd, Nepal is a fantastic place. Whether yu are lking t relax in the wildness and peace f nature, r fr an exciting new adventure, Nepal has a variety f chices t ffer.

    Almst everybdy knws that sprts stars can be rle mdels t high schl students. But what many d nt knw is the effects they may have n ur kids. Researchers nw have made sme imprtant findings. The first effect that prfessinal athletes can have n high schlers is imprving their persnal character.
    A fine example cmes frm a study thrugh the Changing Lives prgram in the UK. The authrs were able t cnclude “athlete mentrs (导师) are able t inspire kids, change their attitudes and help imprve futures”. The study lked at mentr / pupil relatinships in different middle and high schls. The mentrs are successful sprtspeple and the pupils are 2,701 students frm 222 schls.
    The findings were able t supprt the ppular belief that sprts stars can act as rle mdels t inspire yung peple. The mentrs visited students three times ver the six-mnth perid. During the visits, the mentrs and pupils tld each ther abut their wn difficult prblems that they had had t face and deal with. This was a way fr the pupils t see that the athletes were nce just like them, and they t culd slve their difficulties and achieve great things.
    Anther majr effect is that prfessinal athletes as rle mdels can influence yung peple’s future aspiratins (愿望). In a study carried ut in the USA, 662 ninth-grade students (wh began their first year f high schl) were surveyed abut their career aspiratins. When students have a career aspiratin, the researchers fund, it may be determined by surces such as wh their rle mdels are.
    In the study, students frm every backgrund were asked abut their career gals and whm they chse as their rle mdels. The results included 41% f black yung men, 25% f Latin yung men, 21% f white yung men, 7% f yung black wmen, 5% f Latin yung wmen, and 5% f yung white wmen; all had rle mdels f sprts stars and wished t be a prfessinal athlete ne day.

    Starting in Darwin ur small grup stepped nbard a cmfrtable vehicle designed fr the terrain (地形) in the regin. We enjyed a warm welcme nbard frm ur experienced Jurney Directr, Grdn, whse knwledge abut the Nrthern Territry made the trip truly special. One f the things I enjyed mst was listening t Grdn sharing stries abut ur lcatin and where we were travelling next. His in-depth infrmatin and stries abut travelling in the Tp End made us all feel like the lcals!
    One f the first highlights n the trip is Litchfield Natinal Park with a stp at Wangi Falls fr a chance t jump in and take a swim in the clear pl beneath the falls. This refreshing (使人精力充沛的) pl set the tne fr the many Nrthern Territry highlights we wuld experience ver the next few days. Everyne felt like a new persn cming ut f the pl.
    The fllwing day tk us t Kakadu Natinal Park. Seeing the beauty f Kakadu frm bth the grund and sky reflects the hugeness f this wilderness area. Frm the sky, yu can see the crcdiles (鳄鱼) in the rivers. Frm the grund yu see the remarkable plants and animals up clse; the entire park is envelped by natural beauty. This experience cmes clse t the amazing wildlife and habitats yu’d find in Africa.
    Then we travelled t Nurlangie, r Burrungkuy in the lcal indigenus (土著的) language, arriving armed with insider knwledge abut what we were ging t see. This UNESCO Wrld Heritage-listed rck art site is knwn fr its indigenus rck art, ffering a fascinating recrd f thusands f years f indigenus life. Once we arrived, we tk a shrt walk t the rck art sites with paintings dating back ver 20,000 years. The stries behind these sites reflect hw the indigenus peple have survived and carried n their traditins fr thusands f years.
    On ur last day, we stpped at Edith Falls, where sme f the grup wh were training fr muntain climbs hiked up t anther swimming spt at the tp f the falls. On arrival in Darwin, we said a tearful gdbye t ur Jurney Directr Grdn wh helped t create a nce-in-a-lifetime experience.
