    Present tense review

    Examples:We will celebrate ur next New Year hliday in Beijing.I will play after breakfast.
    Present perfect
    The present perfect tense is a verb tense used t express actins that ccurred at a nn-specific time. The present perfect tense is als used t express actins that started in the past but cntinue t the present.
    Activity that started inthe past and cntinuest the present
    Affirmative sentence:Subective + have/has + dne (Past participle )
    She has passed the test.
    She has passed the test.
    We have arrived.
    We have arrived.
    Past participle
    As with mst grammatical structures in English, there are exceptins t the general rule f thumb which we term ‘irregular.’ This is the tricky part f the language that requires memrizatin f the specific verb frms. Use the list f 100 cmmn irregular verbs and their past participle frms.
    Frming Past participle: The mst cmmn frm f the ‘past participle’ is a verb that ends in -ed.
    Fr actins f duratin that ccurred in the past (befre nw) but are f unspecified time:
    She has visited the Guggenheim.We have built a fence.They have been t France.
    Fr actins that started in the past but stpped recently:
    I have spken.She has called.We have frgtten.
    Use “already” t strengthen the tne.
    I have spken.- I have already spken.She has called.- She has called already.

    My neighbur … just (g) ut.
    Negative sentence: Subective + have/has NOT + dne
    She has nt passed the test.
    She hasn’t passed the test.
    We haven’t arrived.
    We have nt arrived.
    We haven’t arrived.
    She hasn’t passed the test.
    Use “never” instead f “NOT” t mean “nt even nce”.
    She has never passed the English test.
    We have never been t Xian.
    Add “yet” in nagative sentence. Smetimes, it sunds like emphasizing a feeling r thught..

    Structure f News Reprts
    Headline is the title f the news reprt. It must be accurate, clear, and easy t understand.
    It cnsist f the facts, but mre detailed and specific than in the lead. Use the infrmatin cllected and gathered at the scene and in interviews. Write news reprt in third persn and frm a neutral perspective.
    A lead is nly ne r maybe tw sentences and summarizes the news stry; the wh, what, when, where, why, and hw f a stry shuld be emphasized in the lead.
