We use the simple present tense t talk abut things that:
1. are facts (Daniel is frm Nanjing.) 2. are true nw (I’m 12 years ld.) 3. are in a certain states (Sandy is tall and slim.)
动词为“be”时，一般现在时的构成:
1. 主语为第一人称单数I时，be 动词用am. I am 12 years ld. (I am = I’m)
2. 主语为第二人称(yu), 第一人称复数(we) 以及第三人称复数(they)时，be 动词用 are. We / They / Yu are students. (we are = we’re; yu are = yu’re; they are = they’re)
3. 当主语为第三人称单数(he, she, it) 时，be 动词用is. He / She / It is happy in the park. (he is = he’s; she is = she’s; it is = it’s)
注意: ① be与主语的搭配。我(I)用am,你(yu)用are, is用于他(he)她(she)它(it)。

动词为be动词时，一般现在时的否定和疑问构成:
