    教学目标

    1.知识目标:能听、说、认读单词Ms, willsometimes;能在实际情景中正确问答或描述人物的性格、品质特征;能听懂、会说句型“ ... will be ... new teacher.”。

    2.能力目标:能运用所学的词汇和句型对他人进行较全面的描述

    3.情感目标提高学生的道德修养,学会正确地评价自己或他人

    教学重点

    熟练掌握Let's talk部分的交际用语。

    教学难点

    能用恰当的词汇及句型来描述身边的人。

    教学准备

    录音机、录音带、课件。

    Step 1 Warm-up

     

           Greetings (师生之间打招呼问候)

           Quick response

    快速反应说出单词。Show some words on the PPT one by one and ask students to read out the words quickly and loudly.

           Review (Talk about the teachers) 

    结合图片和句型谈论教师。Show some teachers pictures on the PPT.  Let students talk about the teachers according to these pictures. These sentences can be chosen: Do you know him/her? Who’s he/she? Whats he/she like? ...

    1. Let’s try

      (1)呈现Let's try部分教师图片,导入新课学习。Show the teacher’s picture of “Let’s try” on page 7.

      T: Do you know her? Who is she?

      Ss: Ms Wang.

      T: Look at the picture carefully, can you describe Ms Wang?

      Ss: She is ... She has ...

      Then show the women teachers on the PPT. Explain the difference among Ms, Mrs, Miss, Mr.

    (2)呈现Let's try图片,看图选出答案。Show the picture ofLets tryon the PPT. Let students look and tick.

      T: Ms Wang is a new teacher here. Lets look and tick the right boxes.

    Play the recording and let students listen to it and tick the right word. Check the answer with students and lead students to ask and answer like this: —What’s Ms Wang like? —She’s friendly.

    (3)呈现听力材料,学生找出答案并齐声朗读。Show the listening material, let students find the key sentence, then read it together.

    2. Let’s talk

    (1)呈现Chen JieJohn图片,导入Let's talk部分。Show the picture of Lets talkon the PPT.

    T: Chen Jie and John are talking about Ms Wang. What is it about? Can you guess?

    Ss: ...

    (2)教师播放Let's talk视频,学生看视频选择正确答案。Play the cartoon of Lets talk. Let students watch and choose: Ms Wang is a/an ________ teacher. Then check the answer together.

    T: Ms Wang is a Chinese teacher. The answer is A. Ms Wang will be our new Chinese teacher. (Show the picture of Chen Jie and John)

    Write down “will be” on the blackboard. Students read it after the teacher. Explain the meaning of “will be” and give some sentences for students to understand.

    (3)读课文回答问题并核对答案。Read and answer the following questions. Then show the answers on the PPT.

      a. Whats Ms Wang like?

      b. Whats the relationship between Chen Jie and Ms Wang?

      Show the dialogue inLets talkon the PPT. Lead students read and underline the key sentences.

      (4)讲解重点单词和句型。

    a. Explain the word “sometimes” and help students understand the key sentence.

    b. Ask students to read the two sentences: She is kind. Sometimes she is strict. Then lead students to answer the question “What’s she like?” with “She is kind. Sometimes she is strict.”

    c. Write down “—What’s she like? —She’s kind. Sometimes she is strict.” on the blackboard. Students read them after the teacher.

      (5)听音频跟读对话,完成习题并进行配音表演。                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

    a. Play the cartoon again. Let students read after it and try to imitate the intonation and the pronunciation of the recording. Then ask students to read together. At last ask students to read freely.

    b. Fill in the blanks according to the dialogue.

    c. Let students dub the dialogue in pairs. Several minutes later, ask some students to act out.

    d. Choose the best performers with students and give awards.

           Practice.

    3. Talk about Ms Wang

    根据对话内容谈论Ms WangStudents retell the dialogue with the help of the teacher and the writing model on the PPT.

    This is ________. She is Chen Jies ________. She is her new ________teacher, too. She is from China. She is very ________to her students. She is kind, too. But sometimes she is________. She has________. She is a good teacher.
