Standing at the edge f the muntain, watching the Rapa River flw thrugh the valley belw, I feel s blessed t be alive and have this rare pprtunity t explre this unique territry , which is almst unknwn t the utside wrld.
    Once cvered by vast sheets f ice, Sarek’s muntains are hme t the Sami, the native residents f the park. The Sami lived ff reindeer , mved with them, and accmpanied them
    fr hundreds f years. Tday, mst Sami have left their ancient cttages in the muntain valleys and live a mdern life in villages near Sarek instead.
    T keep its natural state, except fr the Sami, n ne is allwed t live in Sarek, and all new develpment is banned within the park bundaries It is hped that Sarek Natinal Park will always remain as it is, natural and beautiful.
