The topic of the part is “Learn about the development of space exploration”.

The section is space exploration. The article mainly tells the readers about the development of space exploration. Because it needs high technologies and overcome high risks and great difficulties, it has become the common career of humankind. As Neil Armstrong said, “That’s one step for a man, one giant leap for humankind.” In the Listening & Speaking & Talking, it talks about the the progress of China’s space exploration. This part will introduce the progress of Russia’s and America’s space exploration, and China has also made great progress in space exploration and became the third country in the world to independently send humans to space in 2003, which helps activate students’ passion for their motherland.

Concretely, the first paragraph is to lead in the topic by introducing the people’s interest in the space. The second paragraph mainly tells the achievement that USSR and America made. The third paragraph explains the desire alive although there has been some big disasters of space exploration. The fourth paragraph about China’s progress. The last one about the future is still bright. The article introduces the development of space exploration, so it is organised by timeline or time order, which is helpful for students to find the detailed information.

Watch a video Space experiment of water drop water ball and discuss:
   1. Who are they?  They are Chinese astronauts Nie Haisheng, Wang Yaping and Zhang Xiaoguang.
   2. What are they doing ? They are doing space experiments.
   3. Where are they? They are in Tian Gong 1 in space.
   4. Do you know the name of the experiment ? Space experiment of water drop water ball

Frontier: the border, which might mean the human’s recognition edge or exploration edge.

From the title and the pictures and the title, we can know that the article might be about the development of space exploration. It broadens us human’s recognition edge or exploration edge. So it is an exposition.
