A Japanese restaurant is widely known for one thing, and it's not its food—but instead, the waiter and waitress serving it. The restaurant owner Kaoru Otsuka makes two monkeys help with the table service.
It all started with a monkey named Yat chan. Many years ago Kaoru Otsuka kept Yat chan as a pet. But when he began to do some chores for him at home, Kaoru Otsuka realized he would be able to work in restaurants. And then Fuku chan, another younger monkey came along. At 3 years old, Fuku chan started working in the restaurant. And now after 14 years, Fuku chan has become the main role at the restaurant. And it has been about 29 years since the elder began to work at the bar at the age of two. In a hall these days, you can see Fuku chan is dressed in a white uniform. She brings customers their napkins and even their drink orders.
