在复合句中修饰主句中的某一名词或代词的从句叫作定语从句。被定语从句修饰的名词或代词叫作先行词，通常位于定语从句之前。引导定语从句的关系代词wh(whse，whm)，which，that；关系副词有when，where，why。关系代词和关系副词位于先行词和定语从句之问。定语从句的结构：先行词＋关系词＋定语从句。
