Step 2. Reading practice

1. Fast reading tasks:

Does the teacher tell the students any stories? If yes, what stories?

Do the students do anything with the pumpkins?

2. Specific information reading: Give the students five minutes to read the text carefully and do the exercise.
3. Language points: Ask the students to read the text after the tape and then find out the useful words and expressions ,explain the difficult ones to them.

Step 3 :Reading exercises:

Ask the students some questions on the text, and then discuss and share their answers with each other.

Possible questions:

Where did they go this afternoon?

1. write a short passage on how to introduce ourselves
2.  Complete the exercises in the workbook.

The students learn the new words and phrases in the text.

The students discuss the given questions and then share the information with the whole class.
