Step 1：(Preparation)

1) My family has some rules. Look at these pictures and tell me what they are.

Are you  allowed to ……?     Yes ,…… /No, ……Then go over the sentences :I am (not) allowed to do ……

Then let the students talk about the school rules to go over the sentences again.

Step 2：Reading

Pre-reading

We should be good kids. We may have many rules at home. What do you think of these rules at home? Talk about it in groups.

Do you often have disagreements with your mother? What do you think of your mother? let’s read 3a to learn more about mother.

1）Read 3a on page 11. Then discuss what the title means with your partner

2)  Read the conversation again.

3) Read and circle. Ask them to read again, try to find the difficult points or sentences.
