教学目标：
1. 情感目标：了解身边的一些能够帮助人类的动物 ，使孩子们认识到动物是人类的朋友，人类应该爱护动物的环保观念。
2. 知识目标：（1）能够在老师的带领下，自行阅读课文内容 。
（2） 能够小组合作，解决生词 。
3. 能力目标：（1）可以谈论自己身边的一些帮助人类的动物，描述他们的种类及特点 。
（2）能够以小组合作学习本课 。
教学重点：阅读理解课文中的两则故事，扩展与本单元话题相关的语言，强调动物与人类是好朋友，人类应该爱护动物的环保观念。
教学难点：1.阅读过程中出现的生词，培养学生自行解决生词的能力。
2.通过阅读故事，能够自行完成判断内容。
3.培养学生朗读的能力。
教学过程：
1. Free talk.
What’s yur favurite animal?
What kind f animal is it?
Hw big/ small / heavy /tall /fast is it?
D yu have a pet? Is it helpful?
What can it d fr yu? Is it yur friend? What animals are peple’s best friend?
2. Shw tw pictures and let students talk abut these tw animals. Encurage them t talk abut these animals.
3. Lead the students t read the passage in grups. Encurage them t find the new wrds in the dictinary.
4. Ask sme questins abut the passage.
5. Play the tape and lead the students t d the exercises.
6. Check the answer.
7. Call sme students t retell the stry.
8. Ask and answer the questins in grups. Review the wrds r sentences in this unit.
Answer the questins and tell smething abut the pet.
Lk at the pictures and talk abut the animals with wn sentences.
Read the passage in grups and find new wrds in the dictinary.

Listen t the tape and finish part B.

教学重点：通过各种形式的语言活动，复习本单元的重点词汇和句型，使学生能够综合运用所学的语言知识进行交流。
教学难点：1、能够自行阅读第三部分的阅读内容，培养解决生词的习惯。
2、通过阅读，能自己解决问题。
教学过程：
1. Shw six pictures f the animals, lead the students t make a dialgue in grups.
Review: What animal is it?
What kind f animal is it?
Hw tall /heavy /fast … is it?
Where is it frm?
2. Say: Bill and Lily went t Animal Wrld.What did they see at Animal Wrld?
Play the recrder and let them answer sme questins after listening.
3. Call sme students t answer the questins.
4. Play the recrder again, and lead the students t match.
5. Play a guessing game.
Say sme sentences abut ne animal and let the students guess what animal it is.
6. Let students read the passage in Part C and tick the right ne.
Call sme students t read their answers.
