At the end of this lesson, students can talk about the way they come to school and ask others how they come to school.
2学情分析
Students in this grade have already learned some basic knowledge, and they can understand some words and phrases. But they still have diffi-cult in making a sentence by themselves.

Learn some words: bus, car, bike, walk, near, far
Remember the phrases: by bus, by car, by bike, on foot, walk to, far away
How to ask and answer the way they come to school.

活动1【导入】Lead-in
Teacher asks some questions, and talk about how they come to school. Introduce some new words here.
T: Today is an ice day and when I walk to school, I find so many students come to school together with me. So how do you come to school?
S1:I come to school by car.
活动2【讲授】Teaching procedure
T: Today is a nice day and when I walk to school, I find so many students come to school together with me. So how do you come to school?
S1: I come to school by car.
T: how about you?
S2: I come to school by bus.
T: Now let’s look at the PPT, and I will show you some traffic tools, and you can use them to say a sentence with “I come to
school…”
S1: I come to school by car.
S2: I come to school by bike.
S3: I come to school by bus.
S4: I come to school by underground.
T: What about this? How do you come to school?
Ss: I come to school on foot.
T: Or you can say......
Ss: I walk to school.
T: Very good. Please remember it.
活动3【活动】Play a video
Play the video and introduce the sentence: How do you come to school.
I come to school......
Practice phrases and sentences here.
T: Now let’s watch a cartoon and look it carefully. Here I have two questions: First, How does the green monster come to school?
Second, How does the snail come to school? Are you ready?
Ss: Yes.
T: So the first question: How does the green monster come to school?
S1: He comes to school by bus.
T: Perfect, you watch the video so carefully. What about the second question?
S2: He comes to school on foot.
T: Is he right?
Ss: Yes.
活动4【活动】Video in the text
Play the video, and ask Ss read the text after the video. Then complete the task on the book.
T: Just now we see the video about how does the monster and the snail come to school, now let’s see how Alice and her friends come to school. So listen carefully and complete the task on page 9.
T: OK, now let’s check the answer.
S1: Joe comes to school by bus.
Alice comes to school on foot.
Kitty comes to school on foot too.
Peter comes to school by bus.
T: Do you agree with him?
Ss: Yes.
T: Now let’s look at the story on the book and see what happened. I’ll play the video for you and please read after the video.
活动5【练习】Practice and show
T: Now it’s the show time. I’ll find some students to retell the story. Here is the picture. You don’t need to use the sentences on the book. You can also use your own words. If you perfectly retell the text to us I will give you 2 scores. 3, 2, 1, go!

Give students some pictures, and let them guess how does the figure come to school?
T: Now let’s play a game. I will show some pictures and you can guess how does she/he come to school? If you are right I’ll give you a score. Are you ready?
Ss: Yes

Ask Ss complete the sentences and share the results with classmates.
