    1. Tell the Ss: Today we are going to learn something about films. Please answer the questions.

    We use although/ though to contrast two clauses. Although is more formal than though. The clause introduced by although/ though is called adverbial clause of concession (让步状语从句). We should never use the conjunction but in sentences with although/ though. e.g.
    Wrong: Although/ Though it rained, but I enjoyed the journey.
    Right: Although/ Though it rained, I enjoyed the journey.
    It rained, but I enjoyed the journey.

Tell the Ss: We can use so ... that and such ... that to emphasize the qualities or characteristics so somebody or something and show the result of it. e.g. 1) She is so beautiful that everyone at the party is looking at her. 2) She is such a beautiful girl that everyone at the party is looking at her.
