This is the fifth period of this unit. The theme of the activi.ty was “Write about what makes a great scientist. ” Students were asked to read biographies of Qian Xuesen and Hawking, as well as John Snow’s research on the source of cholera. Combined with my own experience and knowledge accumulation, I write an article to analyze the character and accomplishment of great scientists and expound the connotation of scientific spirit. Reading examples in the text will help students understand and experience the meaning and function of bridging words, and provi.de guidance for them to complete the writing task.

Known as a famous medical scientist in Ming Dynasty, Li Shizhen was born in 1518.

In order to finish the task, he visited mountains, called on ordinary people, tasted different kinds of herbs and even did experiments by himself.
