    The Attributive Clause 定语从句
    概念:修饰一个名词或代词的从句被称为定语从句,定语从句一般紧跟在它所修饰的先行词后面。而先行词则是被修饰的名词、代词。引导定语从句的关联词为关系代词和关系副词。关系代词:wh, whm, whse, that, which等在定语从句中可用作主语、定语、宾语等关系副词:when, where, why 等在定语从句中只用作状语。

    关系代词当宾语时,可省略。
    when = at / in / n which
    where = at / in / n which
    why = fr which

    本模块主要掌握 that 引导的定语从句 (that引导的定语从句既可以修饰无生命的事物,也可以修饰有生命的人或动物)。

    注意:that 在定语从句中做主语时不能 省略,做宾语时可以省略。

    结论:定语从句中谓语动词的单复数应与先行词保持一致。
    【拓展】只用that引导定语从句的情况:①先行词为all、few、little、much、the ne、smething、anything、everything、 nthing等不定代词时。②先行词本身是形容词最高级、序数词或被 形容词最高级、序数词修饰时。③当先行词既指人又指物时。④先行词被the nly、the very等修饰时。⑤主句是wh或which开头的特殊疑问句时。

    ①hw sn意为“多久以后”,常用于一般将来时态,多用“in +时间段”进行回答。②hw ften意为“多久一次”,询问动作的频率。③hw many意为“多少”,询问可数名词的数量。④hw much意为“多少/多少钱”,询问不可数名词的数量或询 问物品的价格。⑤hw far意为“多远”,询问距离。
