It’s a reading material about a mountain climber who saved one’s own life while climbing the mountain alone, which teaches the students how to save one’s life when one is “Between a Rock and a Hard Place”.Student Analysis: In the previous periods, the students have learned health problems, common accidents and the relevant treatments, especially giving help to others. While in this period, they are going to learn to help oneself when one faces accidents or problems without others’ help.核心素养目标Linguistic skill(s): To be more familiar with the reading skill—understanding a story by finding out the order of the events.Language knowledge: To master the important words, phrases, and sentences in the passage and be able to use them in one’s own writing.Emotion and attitude: Learn to be brave enough keep one’s cool to deal with accidents happen in one’s life.
