Consolidation:让学生翻译完后,观察这些例句,然后回答这些问题:1. there be结构一般用来表示什么含义?there be 结构的主语是什么?2. 含有there be 结构的句子,一般什么时候用动词is,什么时候用are?3. 如果there be结构的句子的主语由几个并列的名词构成时,动词用is 还是are?4. 归纳there be句型结构和肯定、否定和疑问句式。5. 思考一下“there be”“have”的用法区别。Summary1. there be 结构一般用来表示某地有某物或某人2. 当句子的主语是单数可数名词或不可数名词时,动词用is; 句子的主语是复数名词时,动词用are3. 当句子的主语是由几个并列的名词构成时,动词be由第一个名词确定,即就近原则4. 1)构成:There be+某物/某人+某地(其中there是引导词, 没有词义; be是谓语动词; “某人/某物是主语; “某地在句中作状语, 多为介词短语)2)句式  1. 肯定句: There be+名词+地点。  2. 否定句: There be+not+名词+地点。  3. 一般疑问句: Be+ there+名词+地点?   (注意其答语仍要用there, 如一般现在时的肯定答语是Yes, there is/are. 否定答语是No, there isn’t/aren’t. )5. there behave的区别  1. There be句型表示, 侧重于客观, 表示某处有(存在)某人/某物  2. have强调所属关系, 表示主语拥有  3. 如果表示部分与整体的关系时, there behave这两种表达方式可以互相转换。口诀记忆There be 句型的用法口诀There be 句型有特点,主语跟在be 后面;单数名词用is, 复数名词are 记全。   否定句be not 加,疑问句be there 前。   介词短语表地点,存在记心间 (设计意图:通过写的训练强化语法学习,突出wherethere be句型以及描述事物的所在位置的介词和介词短语。)Step 4. PracticeTask1. Ask the students to look at the map and answer the questions. (3a)    Have Ss work in pairs. Ask and answer according the picture and the questions. And then write down their answers. The teacher call several pairs to ask and answer.      1. Where is the bank?  __________________________________________________2. Is there a restaurant on North Street?  _________________________________________________3. Where’s the pay phone? __________________________________________________4. Where’s the post office?     __________________________________________________5. Is there a hospital near the pay phone?__________________________________________________   (Answers: 1. It’s between the hospital and the post office.  2. Yes, there’s one across from the police station.   3. It’s on North Street next to the police station.  4. It’s on New Street next to the bank.   5. No, there isn’t. There’s one on New Street.  )Task2. Look at the map in 3a and write three sentences. (3b)1. Get the students to write three complete sentence according the picture3a. Make sure that they write sentences using prepositions of place. Encourage everyone to write as much as they can 2. Get them to check each other and communicate. 3. Choose several pairs to read sentences aloud that they have written by themselves. e.g.  The bank is next to the hospital and across from the bank.______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________(Answers: The post office is next to the bank and across from the park. Pair Work.Look at the maps and make a few conversations with own partner. And then Role-play them. 1. Tell the students: Please ask and answer questions about the picture in pair , beginning with Is there? Where is? ( The teacher goes around the class and help them if they need some help.) e.g.     e.g.2: Look at the following pictures and give directions.Now you and your friend are at A. He/She feels terrible suddenly, and you are going to hospital.  Then you tell his/her family about this.  They have to leave their home C for the hospital. How can they get there?
     When you get out of the hospital, you meet two visitors at D. They are looking for a hotel. Guessing games.  Tell them how to play this game. Call them to take turns to choose a place in the picture in 1a on page 43. Their classmates ask questions and then guess the place. Near here: Supermarket,Not near here: bus station, A: What do you think of your neighborhood?B: Its comfortable and beatiful.  2. Have Ss work in pairs, talking turns to ask and answer questions about places in their local neighborhood. 3. For each place that Ss talk about, ask them to categorize it in titled near here or not near here.4. After five minutes stop the activity. Elicit places and list these on the board.
