While in this period, they are going to have a further talk about whether kids should share chores in a family.Student Analysis:    According to the students true life, they must have much to talk about this topic. It is a good chance for them to learn the meaning and significance of doing chores at home.核心素养目标Linguistic skill(s):    To be more familiar with the reading skillskimming.Language knowledge:    To master the important words, phrases, and sentences in the passage and be able to use them in ones own writing.Emotion and attitude:    Be aware that doing chores makes a great difference to ones future life.Learning strategy:    To think about other supportive statements for doing chores according to the ones in the letters.Culture awareness:    Be able to know that family harmony depends on everyone's contribution.重点Key words:    stress, waste, provide, anyway, depend, develop, independence, fairness, since, neighbor, ill, drop, independent.Key phrases:    take care of., depend on, in order to, be a waste of time, spend sth. on sth., develop ones independence, do ones part in doing, as a result, fall ill.Key sentences:Housework is a waste of time.There is no need for them to do it.It is their parents job to provide a clean and comfortable environment at home for their children.Children these days depend on their parents too much.Doing chores helps to develop childrens independence and teaches them how to look after themselves.It also helps them to understand the idea of fairness.He had no idea how to take care of himself.The earlier kids learn to be independent, the better it is for the future.难点How to make sure that all the students will accept the idea that doing chores is important and meaningful.How to stimulate the students to come up with other ideas to support sharing chores.教学准备Teaching planPPTPad(s)Testing materials   教学内容教师活动学生活动. Why?What would you say to the person who wrote the letter you dont agree with? 【具体见如下Excel表格内容】 Write one sentence with each phrase from the letters.   Discuss about the questions with ones partners and debate with others.      Finish the homework after class.
