    1学生通过对与感恩节相关单词的学习,了解节日的特点.

    2掌握the的特指用法.

    3通过范例,了解英文地名的首字母应大写.

    4学习对话,熟悉电子邮件的基本格式,培养学生的听力及表达能力;能将中西方的节日文化进行比较.

    5能够熟练拼读与字母组合“or / oor”,“al”, “au” “aw”相关的单词,扩大词汇量.

    【教学重难点

    1本课单词的正确发音和拼读.

    2熟练的使用the的特指用法.

    3能将中西方文化进行比较.

    4掌握地名的写法.

    【教学准备】

    本课相关单词卡片、市场或商店的挂图、小诗挂图,录音机等.

    【教学过程】

    I师生常规问候.

    1值日生做duty report.

    2检查、订正上节课作业.

    IIListen and practice.

    1引入新单词.

    T: In the last lesson, which festival have we learned?

    Ps: Halloween.

    T: Good! In this lesson we are going to learn another important festival—Thanksgiving Day. On this day, families always get together to have a rich dinner. Now, here is a market. (在黑板上贴一副市场图,上面有fruit, cake, cheese, dairy, pumpkin, turkey, sweet potato, corn) If we are going to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, what shall we buy?

    Ps:(如玉新单词,可用中文)

    T: Good! Some of your choices are right. At first, we will buy this one. This is not chicken. It is very big and very popular in the USA .It's

    Ps:火鸡.

    T: We call it turkey.

    Ps: Turkey.

    T: Then we buy this one. In Chinese it is called…

    Ps:红薯.

    : Yes. In English we call it sweet potato. What is potato?

    Ps:土豆.

    T: So the sweet potato is not a potato, clear?

    Ps: Yes.

    T: Good! Now read after me. Sweet potato.

    Ps:.

    T: Then we hoose this.

    Ps: 玉米.

    T: It's corn.

    Ps: Corn.

    T: At last, we buy(指向pumpkin)

    Ps: Pumpkin.

    T: Yes. We make pumpkin pie. (出示pie的图片)Pie.

    Ps: Pie.

    T: In Chinese we also call it….

    Ps:.

    T: What other pie do you know?

    Ps: Apple pie, strawberry pie…

    2巩固新单词.

    1教师随意指图画,学生读出单词.

    2将全班分成几个小组,给每个小组的第一名学生几张卡片(34张,其中含23个新单词),让他们记住后告诉第二个人并一直传下去,最后一名学生站起来大声说出单词,同时,由第一名学生出示卡片,看是否正确.

    IIIWork in pairs.

    1引入the 的特指用法.

    T:(在黑板上贴一张rooster的图片)Boys and girls, what's this in English?

    Ps: This is a rooster.

    T; Yes, this is a rooster. (在图片旁板书此句,突出“a”) Is the roostr big?

    Ps: No.

    T: The roostr is (板书,突出the)

    Ps: Small.

    同上,通过问答,板书“These are moon cakes.,“ The moon cakes are round.

    T: Boys and girls, pay attention to the two groups of sentences, we use “a” in the first sentences, use “the” in the second. Why? Can you guess?

    Ps:

    T: Yes. You're so clever. 因为我们在前一句中已提到了rooster”mooncake”,所以以后再提及,就用冠词the”,而不是“a”.

    I will should you two more pictures, please make up sentences like this.(出示两幅图及对应的形容词,请两名学生造句,提醒他们用“That is…”,“Those are…”然后全班复述)

    2练习the的特指用法.

    1将全班分为两组,教师通过图片和手势来带领两组学生描述图片,单词的单、复数形式均要涉及.

    T: Now let's describe the pictures. Group one. (手指第一组第一幅图)….Group two. (手指第一组第二幅图,然后第二组第一幅图)….Group one. (第二组第二幅图)…Good! How about this picture (fish)/Group one. This…

    Ps: This is a fish.

    T: The …

    Ps: The fish is small.

    T: Good! Next picture. (拿远一点,“That is …”)

    2在黑板上多贴几张单词卡片,请学生两人一组描述.

    3将全班分成四个小组,每一小组选一名组长.由组长出示图片,组员依照以上例子轮流说一句话描述图片,每幅图片只用两句话,说错的同学由下一位纠正.在一分钟内描述图片最多的小组获胜.

    1请学生在黑板上写几个地名,其他学生判断书写是否正确.

    T: In the last lesson, we learned that we should use capital letters with…

    T: Good! Then how about places? We have learned some places. I'll ask same of you to write a name of a place on blackboard.

    2得出结论:地名首字母应大写.

    3学生做练习,教师订正答案.

    4完成workbook 中的Read, correct and copy.

    小结本课所学内容.

    T: Today we have learned some food for Thanksgiving Day. They are…

    2Play a game.

    3教师拿一副画有flower 的图,全班用尽可能多的句子进行描述.

    T: Here is a flower is beautiful.P1, what do you think of the flower?

    P1: The flower is beautiful.

    T: Good! How about you?

    P2: The flower is red.

    4四人一组,轮流描述一张卡片. 所有人都描述完后再开始描述第二张.限时,看哪组描述的卡片最多,就是获胜组,然后请该组上台表演.

    T: (在黑板上画一方框)Kids, can you guess what I am going to draw?

    T: No. In China, every family has this thing. We know the day and date from it. Can you guess?

    T: We know that in China there are 阴历and 阳历.But how do we say that in English? (给学生一点时间猜测,激发学习兴趣)

    2巩固新单词.

    1在黑板上贴出多种食物的图片(包括本课所学的),请学生分别找出西方特有的、中国特有的和中西方共有的食物.

    2记忆游戏:全班分为两组,轮流发言,第二组需在重复第一组所说内容的基础上增添一个新词,:

    G1: We like corn.

    G2: We like corn and turkey.

    G3: We like corn, turkey and pumpkin pie.

    3完成Workbook 中的Listen and number.

    IIIListen and write.

    1学生看图猜主题.

    2教师一边读小诗一遍画画,帮助学生了解小诗大意.

    3学生跟读,教师解读.

    T: Well done! Now let's make a little change. Can we use another word for “merrily”?

    Ps: Look at that boy in the picture. He is merrily smiling. Then look at me, I am sadly smiling.(通过表情变化帮助学生理解)So merrily means...
