4.学习对话,熟悉电子邮件的基本格式,培养学生的听力及表达能力;能将中西方的节日文化进行比较.
5.能够熟练拼读与字母组合“or / oor”,“al”, “au” 和“aw”相关的单词,扩大词汇量.

2.熟练的使用the的特指用法.
3.能将中西方文化进行比较.
4.掌握地名的写法.

本课相关单词卡片、市场或商店的挂图、小诗挂图,录音机等.

I.师生常规问候.
1.值日生做duty report.
2.检查、订正上节课作业.
II.Listen and practice.
1.引入新单词.
T: In the last lesson, which festival have we learned?
Ps: Halloween.
T: Good! In this lesson we are going to learn another important festival—Thanksgiving Day. On this day, families always get together to have a rich dinner. Now, here is a market. (在黑板上贴一副市场图,上面有fruit, cake, cheese, dairy, pumpkin, turkey, sweet potato, corn等) If we are going to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, what shall we buy?
Ps:(如玉新单词,可用中文)
T: Good! Some of your choices are right. At first, we will buy this one. This is not chicken. It is very big and very popular in the USA .It's…

T: Yes. In English we call it sweet potato. What is potato?

T: So the sweet potato is not a potato, clear?

2.巩固新单词.
(1)教师随意指图画,学生读出单词.
(2)将全班分成几个小组,给每个小组的第一名学生几张卡片(3—4张,其中含2—3个新单词),让他们记住后告诉第二个人并一直传下去,最后一名学生站起来大声说出单词,同时,由第一名学生出示卡片,看是否正确.
III.Work in pairs.
1.引入the 的特指用法.
T:(在黑板上贴一张rooster的图片)Boys and girls, what's this in English?
Ps: This is a rooster.
T; Yes, this is a rooster. (在图片旁板书此句,突出“a”) Is the roostr big?
Ps: No.
T: The roostr is… (板书,突出“the”)
Ps: Small.
同上,通过问答,板书“These are moon cakes.”,“ The moon cakes are round.”
T: Boys and girls, pay attention to the two groups of sentences, we use “a” in the first sentences, use “the” in the second. Why? Can you guess?

T: Yes. You're so clever. 因为我们在前一句中已提到了“rooster”和“mooncake”,所以以后再提及,就用冠词“the”,而不是“a”.
I will should you two more pictures, please make up sentences like this.(出示两幅图及对应的形容词,请两名学生造句,提醒他们用“That is…”,“Those are…”然后全班复述)
2.练习the的特指用法.
(1)将全班分为两组,教师通过图片和手势来带领两组学生描述图片,单词的单、复数形式均要涉及.
T: Now let's describe the pictures. Group one. (手指第一组第一幅图)….Group two. (手指第一组第二幅图,然后第二组第一幅图)….Group one. (第二组第二幅图)…Good! How about this picture (fish)/Group one. This…

(2)在黑板上多贴几张单词卡片,请学生两人一组描述.
(3)将全班分成四个小组,每一小组选一名组长.由组长出示图片,组员依照以上例子轮流说一句话描述图片,每幅图片只用两句话,说错的同学由下一位纠正.在一分钟内描述图片最多的小组获胜.

1.请学生在黑板上写几个地名,其他学生判断书写是否正确.

2.得出结论:地名首字母应大写.
3.学生做练习,教师订正答案.

3.教师拿一副画有flower 的图,全班用尽可能多的句子进行描述.

4.四人一组,轮流描述一张卡片. 所有人都描述完后再开始描述第二张.限时,看哪组描述的卡片最多,就是获胜组,然后请该组上台表演.

(2)记忆游戏:全班分为两组,轮流发言,第二组需在重复第一组所说内容的基础上增添一个新词,如:
G1: We like corn.
G2: We like corn and turkey.
G3: We like corn, turkey and pumpkin pie.
3.完成Workbook 中的Listen and number.
III.Listen and write.
1.学生看图猜主题.
2.教师一边读小诗一遍画画,帮助学生了解小诗大意.
3.学生跟读,教师解读.

3.学生仔细听录音,然后再模仿,教师订正.
4.教师引导学生总结发音规则.
5.给出一些没有学过的单词让学生尝试拼读,不要求他们掌握中文意思.
