在复合句中,修饰某一名词或代词的从句叫作定语从句。被定语从句修饰的名词、代词等称为先行词。引导定语从句的词称为关系词。
先行词+关系词 (that/which/wh)+从句
I prefer mvies that/which give me smething t think abut.

Attributive clause
一、只能用that作关系代词的情况。 1. 当先行词是all, much, little, few, smething, anything, everything, nthing, nne 等不定代词时。 2.当先行词被the nly, the last, the very等词修饰时。 3.当先行词是序数词 (first…)或被序数词修饰时。
4. 当先行词被最高级 (best…)修饰时。5. 当先行词既有人又有物时。6. 当主句是以wh或which开头的特殊疑问句时。
二、只能用which作关系代词的情况。 1. 关系代词前有介词时。 这是他们去年住过的房子。 This is the huse in which they live last year.
2. 先行词本身为that, thse时。 放在盒子里的那个东西是什么啊? What’s that which was put in the bx?
三、当关系代词在从句中作主语时,从句的谓语动词 要与先行词的单复数形式保持一致。 他是一个演奏安静音乐的人。 He is a musician wh plays quiet sngs.
