    Do you know Wang Yaping? She is the first woman astronaut(字 航员) to carry out extravehicular (舱外) activities in China. She has been to the space-twice. Let's learn more about this great woman.

Wang Yaping was born in January, 1980. In1997, she went to college and learned to fly planes. After graduation(毕业), she became a pilot. She had a space dream while she was working as a pilot. Her space dream started in 2003, when China sent its first astronaut Yang Liwei into the space. She told herself,”China now has a man astronaut. When will there be a woman one?”

In 2010, Wang became an astronaut. She got the same training as a man astronaut. She said to a reporter, “The space environment won’t change because you are a woman.” Her dream came true in 2013. On June 11, 2013, she went to the space with Nie Haisheng and Zhang Xiaoguang. On June 26, 2013, she returned to the earth successfully.

    As people in China are caring more about children's health, the government（政府）started new programs to help the students keep healthy. Last December, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission(北京市教委)made great changes(改变) to PE. classes in this city

The commission hopes that children will start exercise at an earlier age and do it more often. Students also have more choices for their final P.E. exams. They can choose four sports from a list of 22, such as running, table tennis, badminton, and swimming. 14 sports newly joined in the list. The commission also gives middle school students online classes after school.

Many people welcome the changes with open arms. Zhang Fan, a father of a school-age child said, “Many children in our country have overweight and obesity(肥胖) problem, and one of the main reasons is that they spend very little time on exercise. I hope my son will have more time for exercise at school.”

According to a report, the overweight and obesity rate(比率) of Chinese primary and middle school students increased(增加) by 8.7 percent from 2010 to 2019. Since the government is taking action to improve children’s health, things will become better. Let’s hope for a healthier future for all Chinese students.

    The idea for the book came to J.K. Rowling in 1990. It took her seven years to finish writing it.
