过去进行时表示在过去某一时刻或某一段时间内进行或发生的动作。
① I was watching TV at eight last night. 昨晚八点我正在看电视。② He was writing stries the whle mrning. 他整个早上都在写故事。
常和表示过去的时间状语连用，如： at this time yesterday/ at 9:00 last night/ the whle mrning 等。

1) 过去进行时表示过去某一时刻正在进行的动作。时间点可以用介词短语、副词或从句来表示，也可由上下语境暗示。
