Mr.Blackburn started the project at the beginning of 2018 after hearing a friend in the US was doing the same thing. It started with importing an outer shell overseas, before picking brains of a friend who had a background as a worker in a car factory to gain knowledge of how to build the car. With the help of his friend,Mr.Blackburn built the Batmobile in 18 months with the cost reaching six figures.
Mr.Blackburn hoped to add a flamethrower(喷火器)onto the back of the vehicle and said he had thought about building the more recent Batman Tumbler from the series film Dark Knight.Though Mr.Blackburn encountered plenty of difficulties to get over during the construction,in September 2019,the car made its first show at the Carnival of Flowers in Toowoomba, before being used by Blackburn’s son for his hope.
“It was great. It was so good to see the kids’ and adults’ excitement at seeing the Batmobile.”Mr.Blackburn said.As a result, the car lovers hope to make the car work on the roads as soon as possible,so he can visit sick children and take them out with his son.

Most online fraud (诈骗)involves identity theft. Passwords help. But many can be guessed. Newer phones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers often have strengthened security with fingerprint and facial recognition. But these can be imitated. That is why a new approach, behavioural biometrics (生物统计学),is gaining ground.
It relies on the wealth of measurements made by today's devices. These include data from sensors that reveal how people hold their phones when using them, how they carry them and even the way they walk. Touchscreens, keyboards and mice can be monitored to show the distinctive ways in which someone's fingers and hands move. These features can then be used to determine whether someone attempting to make a transaction (交易)is likely to be the device's habitual user.
Behavioural biometrics make it possible to identify an individual's unique motion fingerprint",says John Whaley, head of Unifyid, a firm in Silicon Valley that is involved in the field. When coupled with information about a user's finger pressure and speed on the touchscreen, as well as a device's regular places of use—as revealed by its GPS unit一that user's identity can be pretty well determined.
Used wisely, behavioural biometrics could be a great benefit. In fact, Unifyid and an unnamed car company are even developing a system that unlocks the doors of a vehicle once the pace of the driver, as measured by his phone, is recognised. Used unwisely, however, the system would become yet another electronic spy on people's privacy, permitting complete strangers to monitor your every action, from the moment you reach for your phone in the morning, to when you throw it on the floor at night.
8. What is behavioural biometrics for?
A. To ensure network security. B. To identify network crime.
C. To track online fraud. D. To gather online data.
9. How does behavioural biometrics work?
A. By restricting and detecting the access to an account of users.
B. By spotting and revealing a device's regular places of use.
C. By monitoring and comparing the ways users interact with devices.
D. By offering and analyzing the operating system of devices.
10. What's the author's attitude towards behavioural biometrics?
A. Doubtful. B. Concerned. C. Objective. D. Favorable.
11. From which section of a magazine can this passage possibly be taken?
A. Health and wealth. B. Science and technology.
C. Finance and economics. D. Books and arts.

The lights go down, music plays, and a young woman on a bike at the front of the class encourages students to spin faster and harder. When the lights go back on, the students on the bikes pull out their notebooks, and it’s clear that this is not SoulCycle. Instead, it’s a first-of-its-kind business school course at Fordham University that is taught on spin bikes in a university.
“It’s the first class that I mention to anybody when anybody asks me what classes I’m taking,” said Amanda Vopat, 22, a business administration major. “I think people are really excited about it.”
The 75-minute, twice-weekly course is the brainchild of Julita Haber, a business school professor at Fordham. “I have been introducing movement and fitness in my classes for the past seven years,” she said. “I found the spin class would really allow students to exercise while a professor lectures at the same time.”
The course the students are taking while cycling is no joke. Managing Professional Relationships is an upper-level business school course taken primarily by juniors and seniors. The students are fully instrumental in each class, selecting the music, leading stretches before and after class and leading the intervals during the class.
Haber stops her lecture every 20 minutes throughout the class. While one student turns off the lights, another student turns up the music and a third student goes to a bike in the front of the class to lead their classmates in high-intensity interval that lasts two to three minutes, just enough to re-energize the students.
“It’s a fantastic way of engaging students and as a professor, as a teacher, that’s really gratifying,” she said. “They don’t have their smartphones, and they don’t have laptops so they are physically engaged and also mentally engaged in what is being said.”
The course is the first of its kind at Fordham, and Haber believes it is also a first across the United States. She has authored research on the unique classroom approach, which she calls fitness integrated(综合的)learning.
Donna Rapaccioli, the head of Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business, described how students were “energized” by the class and said Fordham was open to expanding it to other courses. “Definitely,” Rapaccioli answered when asked if Haber’s course represents the future of learning.
- What might SoulCycle be?
A. A repair shop. B. A health club. C.A bicycle store. D. A music studio.
13. What do we know about the business school course?
A. It was originally thought up by Julita.
B. It lasts seventy-five minutes without breaks.
C. It is open to all students at Fordham University.
D. It was taught in a university gym once every 2 weeks.
14. What does the underlined word “gratifying” in Paragraph 6 most probably mean?
A. Inspiring. B. Interesting. C. Surprising. D. Satisfying.
15. How did Donna Rapaccioli sound?
A.Proud and confident. B.Hopeful and cheerful.
C.Informal and friendly. D.Humorous and clever.

Asad was a 13-year-old boy who was very honest and hardworking. Recently, he had entered a new school, so he had no friends yet. On Monday morning, he was nearly late for school. The night before, his family attended his cousin's wedding and reached home late, which was why he couldn't get up on time as usual.
At school, Asad could not pay attention to anything and wanted the bell to ring so that he could buy something to eat. After a few hours, when the bell rang, Asad quickly opened his schoolbag to find his money, but just then he remembered that he had left for school in a hurry in the morning and forgotten to take money. He looked under his books, hoping to find some money but there was nothing.
Not knowing what to do, he walked out of the classroom and sat on a bench in front of the canteen. He saw a few of his classmates there, among them was Fahad. He was one of the richest kids in his class, but he was a very arrogant boy who thought everyone else was a loser. But as Asad was new, he didn't know much about Fahad.
When he went towards Fahad and asked if he could borrow some money for his lunch, Fahad laughed a lot and said, “I knew you were a loser, maybe a beggar?" Fahad laughed out so loud that other kids also heard and made fun of the situation. He didn't answer Fahad, and slowly walked back towards an empty bench.
When he reached the bench, he noticed something lying near it. It was a wallet. He picked it up and recognized it as Fahad's, as he remembered Fahad showing it to his friends and telling that his uncle bought it for him from the UK. There was quite a lot of money inside for a kid.

第二节One possible version:
At first, Asad wanted to keep it a secret and punished Fahad. But it was not easy. He felt the heat in his body rising, and his cheeks blushing. Throwing a glance at Fahad, who was chatting happily, cocking his head high, Asad suddenly felt a bit sorry for the embarrassment he was going to face. Just at the moment Fahad gasped and cried out in alarm, “Oh hell, where is my wallet?” Some gossips began. Asad heard words of gloat. Overwhelmed by guilt, Asad quickly picked up the wallet and strode to Fahad, “I found it over there, and I think it is yours. ”Seeing the dumb founded face of Fahad, he added, “I thought of sneaking it, of course.” Recalling what he had done to Asad, Fahad suddenly hesitated to take the wallet.
Then Fahad said, “Why are you giving back?” Murmuring in a low voice, he dodged Asad’s shining eyes, somehow even not daring to look into them. What replied him was a sigh, “Because it belongs to you.” After confession, the air seemed still and it became weird that no one uttered a single word. Just at this moment, Asad’s stomach seemed to be the first to break the awkwardness by growling loud. To his astonishment, the arrogant boy, Fahad, reached out his hand, stammering, “W…What about having lunch together?” Before Asad could say anything, Fahad quickly added, “Of course, my treat.” It was on that very day that Asad made his first friend in the new school, and he truly reckoned the value of sincerity and honesty in a relationship.
