I think machine power is better than human power because we cannot survive without our daily used machines like bikes, coolers, computers, etc.

    Started on 1 4-Apr-201 9 By Smith

    E-mail rksscetl2@yahoo.com

    Johnson 6-May-2019

Yes, it's very clear that machine power is better than man power. But machine power has its limitations 局限.It cannot survive without electricity and manhandling. If it doesn't have these two then it is completely useless. So man should not completely depend on machines. One more point is that because of the use of machines man has become lazy. This laziness has brought in many problems like obesity, arthritis 关节炎and other health problems. But I am not saying that man should completely turn from machine power to man power. He should have a balance of both. Even I can't think of life without a car, a computer and a cooler.

    Sally 9-May-2019

Humans only created the machines. So, human power is greater than machine power. To do the things quickly we created the machines. But machines cannot think. That thinking power beats machine power.

    Tina 17-May-2019

But without humans there is no value of any machine. If someone wants to use his machine perfectly then one must have expert labor or man power.

    Tommy 19-May-2019

Hi to all, my opinion is that human power is more powerful than machine power, because human beings created the machines. Human brain works more compared to machines.

    Mike 20-May-2019

I think human power is better than machine power because even if we travel on foot to near places the money will not be wasted and we can get exercise.

    21. Who has a different opinion from others?

    A. Tommy. B. Johnson. C. Sally. D. Mike.

    22. What should man do according to Johnson?

    A. Man should completely depend on machine power.

    B. Man should live a life without a car, a computer or a cooler.

    C. Man should turn from machine power to man power completely.

    D. Man should keep a balance between human power and machine power.

    23. Which of the following is the best title of the passage?

    A. Will Machine Power Prevent Human Power?

    B. What limitations Does Human Power Have?

    C. Will Machines Control the World in the Future?

    D. Which Is Greater, Human Power Or Machine Power?

    B

What's black and white and read all over? Not newspapers, at least not anymore. In fact, if you're like most young people, you probably don't read the newspaper at all.

In one recent survey, just 1 9 percent of 1 8-to-34-year-olds said they read a newspaper every day, while 37 percent watch local TV news and 44 percent visit Internet news sites daily. As people turn more and more to new technologies, they turn the pages of newspapers less and less. "There's a revolution 革命in the way young people get news. " says media consultant Merrill Brown. Just a generation 一代人or two ago the newspaper was the main way that many people got their news. Now, nearly every home has at least one TV set. There's high-speed, wireless Internet both at home and in many public places.

You no longer have to wait for a bundle of newsprint to arrive on your doorstep every morning. Thanks to new technology, if you want to know what's going on in the world, you can get breaking news immediately in more ways than one. So newspapers face a very big challenge. Raised on MTV and video games, today's kids and young adults want flashy displays, special effects, quick information, and the chance to interact 互动in real time, even when they're reading about serious problems.

If newspapers can't find creative ways to be more than just ink on paper, some experts suggest , they might disappear completely. Traditional newspaper articles are supposed to be read from beginning to encl, lack of interaction. With Web pages, on the other hand, there's more freedom. You can look through the things you're interested in, then follow links to other sources. You can join discussion groups, read other peopled opinions on a topic, or start a blog to express your own views.

Some clogs can be really mean. They fight with other clogs and bark at you on the street when you walk by. Now scientists say that some clogs are badly behaved because they were taken away from their mothers too early. Scientists say this can turn them into aggressive 有攻击性的dogs.

Researchers at the University of Milan in Italy studied 140 dogs aged between 18 months and seven years, according to the Daily Mail newspaper. Half of these clogs had been taken away from their mothers and given new homes when they were between 30 and 40 days old. The other half were taken away when they were 60 days old.

Researchers asked the owners where their pets were from and what breed 品种they were. Then they asked owners to write clown whenever their clogs behaved badly. Examples of bad behavior included biting furniture and clothes, barking a lot, and being aggressive toward people. Some clogs got angry if other clogs took away their food and toys. Some got terrified when they were walking outdoors or if they heard a sudden noise.

The scientists found that bad behavior was more common in clogs that had been taken away from their mothers between 30 and 40 days old. Behavior was also worse in clogs that had been taken away early and put in pet shops than those that had been removed later.

Have your parents ever told you any strange or alarming things about protecting your eyes? For example they might have said that you'd go blind from reading in the dark, but you could make up for it by eating a lot of carrots. This is just one of the misunderstandings you may have heard of. Below are picked out scientific explanations for three mistakes that people often make about eyes. Let's take a look.

Can eating carrots improve your vision? If eating carrots helps us see better, why do so many students encl up wearing glasses? Carrots are rich in vitamin A, which is essential for our eyes' general health. Vitamin A helps the eyes to make light into signals allowing people to see in low light conditions. However, eating more carrots doesn’t help you see better. A certain minimum amount will help, but a large number of carrots will not give you superhuman vision or allow you to get rid of your glasses.

If your parents have bad eyesight will you have bad eyesight too? Parents are often concerned about the causes of nearsightedness 近视.Many people believe that if parents are shortsighted their children will suffer from the same problems. Nearsightedness can be genetic 遗传的.A study by the American Optometric Association found that if both parents are nearsighted, there's a 33 to 60 percent chance that the child is. For children who have one parent with nearsightedness the chance is 23 to 40 percent, and it's clown to 6 to 1 5 percent for kids with non-nearsighted parents. So no matter how bad your parents' vision is, you still have the chance of good eyesight.

Is it true that people who are color blind can't see colors? Color blindness doesnt mean that someone can't see colors at all like a black and white movie. Most commonly, it means that someone has difficulty telling certain colors apart, usually green and red or blue and yellow.

    32. What is the purpose of this text?

    A. To offer some advice. B. To give some reasons.

    C. To clear up some misunderstandings. D. To provide some medical information.

    A. Eating carrots has no benefits at all.

    B. Eating more carrots won't ensure good eyesight.

    C. Vitamin D is very important for your eyes’ health.

    D. Eating more carrots helps you remove your glasses.

    34. What can we infer from the study in paragraph 3?

    A. The people having bad eyesight can't see colors, either.

    B. Nearsightedness can certainly be passed from parents to kids.

    C. Non-nearsighted parents surely have kids with good eyesight.

    D. The parents with nearsightedness can have kids with good eyesight.

    35. Where is the text probably from?
