    I was said to be the worst student in my class and my family thought I was hopeless. I had to repeat the sixth grade. At that time a new teacher, Miss Sadia, came to our school.

    One day after class? she noticed that I was staying alone during the lunch break. She came to me and began to talk to me. It was just a normal conversation. After that day, she gave me much attention and it made me feel special. I started to work hard because she gave me the feeling that someone believed me, and my grades started to improve in her subject.

    Months later, she moved into a house near my home. We would walk home together after school. Her constant support helped me, especially in my studies, as I knew she would check my grades both in her subject and the other subjects. I finally came second in my class.

    Then , after the sixth grade, she started to drift apart but still kept a check on me. By the time I was in the seventh grade, she hardly spoke to me, but by then I had become the best in my class. When I left school, I was out of touch with her as she never answered the phone when I called her.

    Then I graduated and went to a good university. One fine day? our paths crossed again. I met her at a wedding. I could not help asking her, “Why did you stop talking to me?”

    “You are a clever boy. I wanted you to be a tree standing on your own roots? not depending 依赖on others. Now here you are and I feel proud of you. You are your inspiration and do not need to look for a shoulder," she said. I could not say anything, but I smiled. Fil always thank her.

    Japanese businessman Katsuo Inoue chose Italy for his summer vacation this year. He enjoyed the views of Florence and Romewithout ever leaving Japan.

    Inoue and his wife "flew” to Italy on First Airlines? a company known for entertainment, not transportation. The Tokyo-based new company entered the fast growing online tourism early this year as many countries have stopped accepting foreign tourists.

    The “passengers" on First Airlines sit in the first-or business-class areas of an airplane model. Workers serve meals and drinks as large screens show passing clouds and other views outside the airplane. The “travelers" then receive glasses that provide virtual reality tours of places like Paris?     The country's biggest airline, ANA Holdings, said that the numbers of passengers flying to foreign countries fell by 96 percent since June when Japan stopped most travel in and out of the country. The International Air Transport Association (lAIA ) and The International Tourism Association(ITA) said last month that international travels wouldn't be able to recover until 2024. But they said the online travels have been growing very fast.

    The president, Hiroaki Abe, said, ”Since we started our online tour this year, our business has been increasing by 50 percent each month. Most of our customers usually travel to other countries every year and they can now experience some of that here when they are unable to go to the real attractions."

    What you do after studying could have a big effect影响on how well you learn and remember. Today on Education Tips? we will explore two no-cost ways that can help you improve your learning wakeful rest and sleep.

    When many students finish studying, they often go straight to another activity. Perhaps they look at their phone or computer. They might even play a video game or watch television. But research suggests that resting after your study may help you remember what you have studied.

    The basic idea is this by stopping your activity after the study? your brain gets a chance to rest. Resting is difficult when you are playing computer games.

    While this might sound unusual to you, many studies have explored the benefits好处of resting after learningwhat is called “wakeful rest”.

    A 2019 study found that both young and older adults were able to better remember information they learned after doing wakeful rest.

    If you want to give “wakeful rest" a try, here are a few simple things to do. Rest quietly for five to ten minutes. Do not look at your phone? read stories or play games. It is really that easy!

    Besides wakeful rest, sleep is also important for learning. The Division of Sleep Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS) notes that sleep helps people to learn in two ways. A report on the school's website explains that “a sleep—deprived!Jperson cannot focus attention well and therefore cannot learn well”. It also says, "Sleep itself helps us to memorize and that memorizing is very important for learning new information.”

    The National Sleep Foundation (NSF) suggests that adults between the ages of 20 and 64 get between 7 and 9 hours of sleep per day. Teenagers may need a little bit more, and people over the age of 65 may need a little less.

    Try to get some “wakeful rest" after a study. Then try to get a good night's sleep. That's ita simple, no-cost way to help you remember what you learn.
