能正确使用一般过去时态和一般现在时态表达过去和现在的事情。
3. 情感目标:通过学生的合作活动,使学生产生用英语交流的积极情绪。

Step 1 Warming up
1.Greetings.
2.Free talk.
What’s the weather like today?
What was the weather like yesterday?
Did you play computer games yesterday?
What did you do yesterday?
T: I surfed the Internet yesterday. I did shopping and read news on the Internet. I got some interesting pictures. Let’s enjoy.

3. Enjoy some p pictures.
a. 20 years ago, I was a baby, my father was young. Now I am a man and my father is old.
b. 6 years ago, I was a short child. Now I am a tall girl.
c. 10 years ago, we played together. Now we are still good friends. But we have grown up.
d. 7 years ago, I was a little boy, and now I am still naughty.
e. 5 years ago, I loved animals. I lived with my dog. Now we still live together. And the dog is big.
4. How time flies! Everything has changed a lot. Yes?

Step 2 Presentation
1. Lead in
(PPT出示麦克一家)
(1) Our friend Mike and his family also have changed a lot then and now.
First, let’s watch the cartoon, then tell me,
Who has changed a lot in this passage?
(Ss观看录像并回答问题,T根据学生回答依次竖贴板书人物Mike, Mike’s father, Mike’s grandpa, Mike’s mother.)
(2) Ss try to say
This was Mike’s father 20 years ago.(师说)
This was ______ ______ years ago.(生说)
(3) Let’s talk about the changes of Mike’s family “then and now”. PPT同时出示两个时段的图片并对应呈现单词 then / now.
揭题 T: Today, we’ll talk about Unit 4 Then and now.
2. Talk about “Mr Brown”
T: Look, this was Mr Brown 20 years ago. What did he do then?
(1) Look and say. 示图文 Learn: wrote … to/ write---wrote use … to/ use---used
追问:Where did he use the telephone?
Learn: office/ telephone
(2) Think and say: Mr Brown used … to …
wrote … to …
(3) T: What about now? Does he use the telephone to call people?

(4) Listen and repeat. (Part 2)

What’s the difference between the telephone and the mobile phone?(学生可以自主发言或者借助书上的语句)

B: He can call people no matter(无论) where they are.

3. Talk about “Grandpa”
(1) What about Mike’s grandpa? He has changed a lot then and now. Let’s spot the differences.

4. Talk about “Mrs Brown”
We know the changes of Mike’s father and grandpa then and now. What about Mrs Brown?

Learn: make-made/ buy-bought/ all over the world(理解选择)
(2) Look and read. (Boys/Girls)
(3) Think and retell. 总结板书
T: Grandpa and Mrs Brown do many things on the Internet anywhere and anytime. It’s really convenient.
【设计意图:四个人,四幅图,借由不同的方式,如watch and answer/ Listen and repeat/Look and say...方式多样,只为让教师做好引导者,而学生成为学习的主体,通过听、说、读等方式更深入地理解文本,配合教师整好板书,为后面的retell做好准备。】

(1) About Mike, can you guess?

Now we know the changes about Mike’s family. Let’s enjoy the story.
