It looked really special and the food was delicious. There was live entertainment including dancing and singing.    For me, the kebab meat served on very large and pointy skewers was very different to what I am used to. It was cooked on an open fire, and at first I was quite scared. But after taking my first bite, I found it was so delicious I had to keep eating. It was a bit unusual to eat the kebab meat from the large skewer, but I quickly became used to it. There was also a large "naan" bread that seemed unique to the region. There was braised meat and potatoes on it. It was delicious too.   It taught me that people there like to eat food as efficiently and tastily as possible. Serving the kebab meat on the skewer is certainly a much faster and more efficient way. Maybe in the past the skewer was a large sword that nomadic people used to skewer and cook meat while outside by a campfire. It made me want to learn more!Language points:按提示写出下列词的含义或变形1.consist v. _____________→___________ adj. 一致的;始终如一的2.chef n.__________→ 复数形式 ________  3.stuff  n.__________→ be stuffed with  ________ 4.slice n. ________v.______ →_________ 切下 5.elegant adj. _________→_______ adv.→________ n. 优雅6.exceptional  adj. __________→__________ adv. 极其;非常→________ prep. ……之外conj. ……之外 v. …… 1.They take turns driving towards to the destination .2.They fled to South America around the turn of the century.3.The scandal(丑闻) took a new turn over the weekend.4.For assistance, they turned to one of the city's most innovative museums. 5.The score turned out better than I thought. 6.The boss sent her a gift on her birthday, but she turned him down.Answers:1.轮流2.在交替时期 3.(情况的) 变化 4.求助于 5.结果是 6.拒绝按汉语提示完成句子1.He _____________(有点不令人相信地解释说) that the company was paying for everything. 2.The trip will              (把出差和娱乐结合起来). 3.I will ______________(为你点餐)in a minute. 4.My previous boss will _________ (充当...的推荐人)for me.
