Activity One  Leading in

1. Let’s play.

T: First, let’s have some tests.

2. Let’s review.

T: We learned the story time last week.

Did you still remember? Let’s try to retell.

You can retell by yourselves or look at the blackboard.

Activity two  Presentation

1. Look and say

T: Boys and girls, here are some pictures about our city’s then and now. Let’s look and say something about our city.

What do you think of our city? You can use “Some years ago, our city was…”“Now our city is…”

设计意图：通过城市今昔对比，让学生说出城市的变化，以此引导学生说出一些关键的形容词，同时顺带复习了一般过去时。

2. Read and find

T：Read these sentences and try to find some rules.

T：Let’s use “make ”to fill in the blanks.

总结make 的几种用法，

1.make 某物 + 形容词, 表示使某物（变得）…

2.make 某物 for 某人, 表示为某人做某事

3.make 某人 + 形容词, 表示使某人（变得）…

T: Here are some new words for you. Try to read them with the given words.

设计意图：通过学生自读，学生交流，引导学生主动发现规律，交流想法，最后再通过PPT呈现答案，验证想法。新词汇通过已学词汇来引导，学生自主学习能力可逐步提升。

S1:Factories make our city dirty.

设计意图：小组内互问互答，增强英语表达能力。

T:What can we do to keep our city clean?

S1:We can take the bus and the metro to school.

We can walk to school.

S2:We can move some factories away from our city.

S3:We can put rubbish in the bin.

T:What else can we do?

S:We can plant more trees.

T:We can plant trees to help keep the air clean.

  T: What does‘can’ mean in these sentences?

设计意图：通过What can we do to keep our city clean?这个问题，让学生练习句型we can ，复习story 并带学生理解can 在这些句子中的含义。

4.Think and say

 T:Now we are at school. What can/ can’t we do to keep our school

 clean?

  S1:We can sweep our floor every day.

S2: We can put our rubbish in the bin.

S3: We can plant some trees and flowers.

S4: We can’t throw the rubbish.

设计意图：由如何让我们的城市更干净，过渡到如何让我们的学校更干净，让学生多说多练，不仅可以用we can 还可以用we can't…

5.Write and show

T: Now we know how to keep our school clean. And we want to let others know. But how?

S: Make a telephone call.

S:Write letters.

  T: Yes. Look at the PPT. Here are some pictures. Do you have any ideas now?

  T: Maybe we can make a poster like these. And then give a speech.

设计意图：一个简短的演讲，在课堂上完成，提高学生综合运用语言的能力。
