★Step 3 Language Pints
1.Culd yu please tell me where I can buy sme stamps?
1) Culd yu please d …? 请你做…好吗? 表示委婉地请求。
culd 在此并不表示过去,而表示委婉语气。
2) 当宾语从句原形为特殊疑问句时,从句的引导词是疑问句的疑问词。这里从句由where引导。
3) 宾语从句用陈述语序(I can)。
2. Culd yu tell me hw t get t Center Street?
1) “疑问词+动词不定式”充当宾语。
e.g. D yu knw hw t slve the prblem?
你知道如何解决这个问题吗?
2) “疑问词+动词不定式”可以转化为宾语从句。
e.g. Culd yu tell me hw I can get t Center Street?
3. Sure, just g alng Main Street until yu pass Center Street.
当然,就沿着主街向前走,一直到你经过中心大街。
(1)g alng 表示“沿着……向前走”多指沿着街道、河边或堤坝等向前走,指路常用语。
g dwn也表示“沿着……向前走”,但其多指向 低处走,或向郊区走。
(2) until 此处用作连词,意为“直到……时为止”。
A. 用于肯定句。
B. 用于否定句中,构成“nt…until”结构,意为“直到……才”
4. G past the bkstre. 经过书店。
g past = pass 意为“经过;路过”。其中 past为介词,意为“从……旁边过去”。
5. Pardn? 请再说一遍好吗?
pardn此处为感叹词,意为“再说一遍 ;抱 歉,对不起” 。此处表示没听清或不理解对方的话,希望对方再重复一遍,读时用升调.
6.Yu dn’t need t rush!你不需要着急!
rush此处用作动词,意为“仓促;急促”。常用短语
rush t d sth. 意为“赶紧/抢着做某事”; rush t…意为“冲/奔向……”。
