Key sentences: a. What are you supposed to do when you meet someone for the first time?b. You’re supposed to shake hands. You’re not supposed to kiss. 3. Structures:a. be supposed to do...b. be expected to do...c. It’s +adj.+to do...教学难点:Use the structures “be supposed to,be expected to, It’s +adj +to do”to make suggestions.教学过程(表格描述)教学环节主要教学活动设置意图Step 1Lead-in(PPT 3)Make Ss have a free talk.Talk about what people in different countries are supposed to do when they meet for the first time. 自由讨论不同国家的见面礼仪,引入本节课的语法。Step 2Presentation(PPT 4-5)1.Show Grammar Focus to Ss and make them read the sentences.2.Make Ss ask and answer in pairs, remind them to pay attention to the structures “be supposed to,be expected to, It’s +adj +to do”.引导学生阅读语法聚焦,概括本单元的语法的基本形式。Step 3Language points (PPT 6- 18)1. Explain the usage of be supposed to do, expect, It’s +adj +to do, take off.2.Ask Ss to read the sentences and do the exercises.本部分主要用来归纳本节课的重点语法和结构。Step 4Practice (PPT 19-22)Work on 4a. Ask Ss to read the sentences and then complete the sentences with the phrases in the box by themselves. Ask some Ss to read their sentences and check answers in class.2. Work on 4b. Ask Ss to read the passage first and then fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the words in brackets on their own.Check answers then ask Ss to read the passage. 完成练习后再阅读,巩固对语法的掌握。Step 5Pair work (PPT 23-24)Work on 4c. 1.
