Key sentences:a.The general cannot find a happy person and the king remains unhappy forever.b.The general searched for three days and found a happy person.c. The king suddenly becomes happy without the shirt of a happy person.2. Structure:    make +sb.+ adj./ v. 教学难点:Listen to the story and get the main idea of the story.教学过程(表格描述)教学环节主要教学活动设置意图Step 1Warming-up(PPT 3-8)1. Make Ss have a free talk about What can make you happy?2. Ss look at the pictures and talk about happiness. 3. Lead in todays topic.自由谈论“什么使你快乐?”引出主题句,导入1aStep 2 Presentation(PPT 9-12)Work on 1a.1. Call Ss attention to 1a, read the instruction and make sure Ss know what to do. Look at the possible endings to the story about the unhappy king. Do you think any of these is the right one? If so, which one?2. Ask Ss to read the possible endings in 1a and tell the right one.Work on 1b. What are some other possible endings to the story? Discuss your ideas with your partner.1. Encourage Ss to tell the left of the story and discuss their predictions about the endings.2. Work in pairs.Ask different Ss to say out their endings of the story.阅读这些句子,猜测故事可能发生的结果。与同伴讨论,其他可能发生的结果Step 3 Listening (PPT 13-16)Work on 1c. 1. Read the instructions in 1c and read aloud these sentences.Make sure they understand the meanings of them.2. Play the tape for the first time.Ss only listen and don't choose the answers.3. Play the tape again and this time get Ss to choose the answer.Check with the class,asking some questions.How many days did the general search?Did he find a happy man?Work on 1d. 1. Play the tape another time.Pause to help them.2. Get Ss to read the questions in 1d.3. Play the tape once more.Ss repeat and answer the questions.4. Play the tape and make sure all the Ss understand the story.  5. Fill in the blanks according to the conversation.6.
