T the untrained eye, handwriting styles may seem randm. Sme write big; thers prefer small; and still thers tend tward the unreadable. But a new study shws that yur handwriting actually says mre abut yu than yu thught.

Using this system, she discvered changes in handwriting can indicate when we are lying and even whether smene is in the early stages f Parkinsn's disease.

Researchers brke up study participants int three grups. Each grup underwent an activity that put the participants in a different md—psitive, passive, and neutral(中立的), by viewing apprpriate mvies. After that, the participants were instructed t write a paragraph.
After studying the participants' paragraphs, the different mds f each grup were evident in characteristics like letter shape and size. Fr example, the height f the letters written by peple in a negative(消极的) md was significantly lwer than that f the psitive r neutral grups. Als, participants in a negative md shwed quicker writing and narrwer width f letters than thse in a psitive md.
But why? The researchers explain that it is prbably the negative md that creates a cgnitive burden n the brain, leading in turn t changes in handwriting.
"The findings f the study may help dctrs identify their patient's actual md," Rsenblum said. "In the future, we will try t examine whether we can als measure the level f the md, i. e. hw happy r sad smene is."
S watch ut: if yu're happy, yu knw it. Yur handwriting will, t.

C. By watching certain films.D. By listening t prgrammes.
14. What indicates a persn is very happy?
A. He writes small letters.B. He writes wide letters.
C. He writes casually.D. He writes shrt letters.
15. What is Rsenblum studying?
A. Hw handwriting affects a persn's md.
