    Module 1  TravelUnit 1  We toured the city by bus and by taxi. 设计说明本单元以各种交通工具的图片导入课堂,引领学生谈论该话题,激发学生的学习兴趣。然后通过听、说、读等训练,引导学生学习会话,培养学生阅读与交际的能力。指导学生学习会话中出现的知识点,提升解题能力。然后针对语调进行专项训练,最后通过习题,巩固、运用所学知识。教学目标通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标:1. 知识目标掌握本单元新单词及短语:flight, because of, direct, pilot, succeed, as long as, school-leaver, exactly2. 能力目标(1)能够理解关于旅行的会话;(2)能够谈论某人的假期经历。3. 情感目标 通过听说训练,了解不同的自然环境与文化,培养助人为乐的优秀品德。重点难点重点:掌握本单元的重点单词、短语和句型难点:谈论关于旅行的话题教学准备PPT课件;教材活动2、3、6的音频授课时数2课时教学过程Step 1  Lead-in1. Let the students look at the following pictures.  2. Let the students work in pairs and discuss:How do you and your classmates go to school?Do you like travelling? And how do you usually travel? Step 2  Presentation1. Ask the students to complete the sentences in Activity 1. 2. Listen and complete the notes in Activity 2. (1)Ask students to read the notes and guess what the missing words are. (2)Play the recording and ask them to fill in the blanks. (3)Check their answers. (1)Ask the students to listen to the recording and then complete the table in Activity 3 on Page 3. (2)Check the answers. Answers(3)Listen again and answer the questions. 1 When do you think the conversation takes place?   ________________________________________________________2 According to Lingling, why is travel so difficult in winter?   ________________________________________________________3 What are Daming and Betty looking forward to at the end of the term?   ________________________________________________________(4)Check the answers. Answers1 The conversation takes place in winter. 2 Travel is so difficult in winter because of the Spring Festival. 3 They are looking forward to the school-leavers’ party. (5) Teach the students to try to note down the key information when they listen to the recording. (6) Ask the students to follow the recording to read the conversation. (7) Tell them to read the conversation on their own. (8) Encourage some students to read the conversation in different roles. Step 3  Practice1. Ask the students to read the phrases in the conversation and put them into Chinese. Ask the students to read the conversation in Activity 6. 2. Let the students listen to the recording and mark the pauses. 3. Ask the students to listen again and repeat. 4. Encourage some of them to read it in class. Answers:Lingling: How about you, / Betty?Betty: We had quite a good time / in Beijing. / We toured the city / by bus / and by taxi. / Last weekend, we took a tour by coach / to the Summer Palace / and went for a long walk / around the lake.Linging: That sounds great! / But now, / wed better get back to work. / Were going to have a big exam / at the end of the term.5. Ask the students to work in groups and talk about their winter holidays. What did you do during the winter holiday?I went to6. Ask the students to talk about what happened during the trip. Step 5  Language points1. The train was full of people, and I had to stand for over three hours!火车上挤满了人,我不得不站了三个多小时。be full of 意为充满;装满,相当于be filled withThe room was full of old things. 房间旧物品。We found a big box full of books. 我们找到一只装满书的大箱子。The park is usually full of people at the weekend. 周末公园里通常挤满了人。2. Well, it’s the busiest season in China because of the Spring Festival. 哦,因为春节,这段时间成了中国交通最繁忙的时期。because of 是一个介词短语,意为“因为”,后接名词、代词或动词-ing形式,不能接句子。because 是连词,意为“因为”,后接句子。I was late for the flight because of the bad weather. = I was late for the flight because the weather was too bad. 因为天气不好,我误了航班。He walked slowly because of his bad leg. 他因为腿不方便而行走缓慢。3. But now, we’d better get back to work. 但现在,我们最好回去学习吧。had better意为“最好”,没有人称和数的变化。had better do sth. 最好做某事had better not do sth. 最好不要做某事It’s very late. We’d better not go out now. 现在很晚了,我们最好不要外出。You had better tell your parents the truth. 你最好向你父母说出实情。4. There’s nothing to worry about as long as you work hard. 只要你努力学习,没有什么好担心的。as long as 意为“只要”,引导条件状语从句。如果主句是一般将来时,从句要用一般现在时表将来。I’ll stay here as long as you need me. 只要你需要我,我就会待在这里。As long as we show our love and care to others, the world will be full of happiness and pleasure. 只要我们向他人展现爱心与关怀,这个世界将充满幸福和快乐。5. We’re all looking forward to it. 我们都很期待()look forward to意为“期待;盼望”,to是介词,后接名词、代词或动词-ing形式,不能接动词原形。I am looking forward to hearing from you. 我正盼望着收到你的来信。类似结构的短语还有:pay attention to(注意)be used to(习惯)等。Step 6  Homework1.
