设计说明

首先用一张地图导入Millie喜爱的亚洲国家——印度。接着介绍印度的位置、首都、语言、人口、主要工农业、习俗和名胜。通过活动巩固学生已学内容，同时分析文章篇章结构，帮助学生理清结构，使他们明确写作此类文章的基本框架；通过寻找文中的好词好句，引导学生明白如何让自己的写作通顺连贯，由输入到输出，水到渠成。

Step 1  Free talk

Ask students to talk about their favourite country in Asia. Work in pairs, and then ask several students to share their idea with the class.  

Step 2  Presentation  

1. Show students a map of India. Ask students to learn some facts about India.

  T says: Millie’s favourite Asian country is India. It lies in South Asia, next to Pakistan, China and Nepal. The capital city is New Delhi.

India has the second largest population in the world. There’re over 1,000,000,000 people, a little fewer than China. People in India mainly speak Hindi.

Traditional clothes for Indian women are saris.

India has many festivals and fairs.

The Taj Mahal is well worth a visit.

It is one of the most famous attractions in India and one of the wonders in the world.

1. Ask students to help Millie to complete the article.
