    设计说明

      这节课的重点是总结故事情节。首先要总结《韩塞尔与葛雷特》的要点。在总结的过程中,老师要帮助学生筛选关键词并板书,然后引导学生根据关键词复述故事,并完成3b的任务。Self Check首先要求学生明确unlessas soon asso...that的恰当表达,并造句练习。在做活动2时,首先让学生浏览短文,再独立完成动词填空,全班核对答案。同时,设计表格,引导学生根据表格找出关键动词。最后根据表格复述故事。在拓展环节中,设计了一个听故事的游戏,旨在培养学生听英语故事的能力,并能根据听到的故事情节判断故事的发展。

    教学目标

      1. 知识目标

      (1)复习《韩塞尔与葛雷特》,并将剧本改写为故事。

      2完成Self Check

      2. 能力目标

      根据人物对白总结故事要点,并能够用一般过去时改写故事。

      3. 情感目标

      品味读书的乐趣,培养学生的读书兴趣。

      (1)能准确恰当地选择关键词,总结故事的情节。

      (2)复习unlessas soon asso...that的用法。

      (3)提高学生写作能力及自主学习的能力。

    教学过程

      Step 1 Leading in

      Work on 3a.

      1. Have students role-play the play Hansel and Gretel.

      2. Write some key words from each scene. Then discuss the answers with your partner. For example

      3. Read the key words. Use the key words to retell the story of each scene.

      4. Complete the sentences according to the Chinese meanings.

      (1)有一年,天气太干旱了,以至于粮食颗粒不长。

      One yearthe weather was so dry that no food would grow.

      (2)妻子告诉她的丈夫,除非把孩子们留在森林里饿死,否则全家人都会死。

      The wife told her husband that unless he left the children to die in the forestthe whole family would die.

      (3)你们一醒来就必须和你们的爸爸去森林。

       As soon as you wake upyou must go to the forest with your father.

      (4)看!它在把我们引向那座由面包、蛋糕和糖果做成的美妙房屋。

       Look! It’s leading us to that wonderful house made of breadcake and candy.

      (5)谁这么大胆,敢来吃我的房子?

       Who is brave enough to eat my house?

      Step 2 Writing

      1. Look through the passage and complete the summary of the play in 3b.

      2. Check the answers.

      Step 3 Self Check

      1. Work on Activity 1.

      2. Work on Activity 2.

      Step 4 Expansion

      1. Prepare a fairy tale in advanceand write each sentence of the story on a piece of paper.

      2. Divide the class into groups of five.

      3. Hand out the pieces of paper with the sentences on them.

      4. Tell the story as a whole class. Students must listen carefully if it is their turn to go on with the story.

      For example

      TOnce upon a timethere was an old woman.

      S1She had three daughters. S1 is the student who has this sentence on his or her paper.

      Discuss the following language points in groups and fill in the blanks.

      辨析such...thatso...thatso that

      1. such...that意为“如此……以至于”,that引导结果状语从句。

      1such an+ adj. +单数可数名词+ that从句

      He is such a clever boy that everybody likes him.

      他是如此聪明的一个男孩以至于大家都喜欢他。

      (2such+ adj. +复数可数名词+ that从句

      They are such interesting stories that I want to read them once again.

      这些故事非常有趣,我想再读一遍。

      (3such+ adj. +不可数名词+ that从句

      He has made such great progress that the teachers are pleased with him.

      他进步巨大,老师们对他感到很满意。

      2. so...that意为“如此……以至于”,that引导结果状语从句。

      (1so+ adj. + that从句

      The box is so heavy that I can’t carry it. 这个箱子太重,我搬不动。

      (2so+ adj. + an+单数可数名词+ that从句

      He is so clever a boy that he can work out the problem.

      他是个非常聪明的男孩,能算出这道题来。

      (3so+ adj. +复数可数名词+ that从句(形容词是few/many

      He had so many friends that he had never felt lonely.

      他有那么多朋友以至于从未感到孤独。

      (4so+ adj. +不可数名词+ that从句(形容词是little“少”/much

      He has so little money that he can’t buy a new car.他的钱很少,买不起新车。

      注意:如果名词前有manymuchfewlittle(少)等词修饰的话,则不用so而用such

      3. so that引导目的状语从句时,意为“以便,为了”。从句中常使用can/could/may/might/will/would/should等情态动词或助动词。引导结果状语从句时,在so that前可以用逗号,意为“因此,所以”。

      Tell me their names so that I can call them up. (目的状语从句)

      告诉我他们的名字,这样我就可以给他们打电话了。

      He raised his voiceso that everyone heard him.(结果状语从句)

      他提高了嗓门,因此大家都听见了。

      Step 6 Summary

      In this lessonwe have learnt

      1. Sentences:①You’ll be late for the meeting unless you  get up at 6 o’clock. I’ll call you up as soon as I get there. The movie was so interesting that I wanted to see it again.

      2. Use unlessas soon asso...that to make sentences.

      Step 7 Homework

      1. Review the stories in this unit and tell the stories to your parents and friends.

      2. Write a short play about The Emperor’s New Clothes and try to perform with your partners.

      3. Review the whole unit.
