第一课时

1．教师用图片帮助学生理解meat，引出a piece of meat，two pieces of meat。教师强调meat为不可数名词。

2. Ss listen to Part B and read.

3．呈现两张试卷，一张得分低，一张得分高，引导学生说出better。

4. 教师做不小心遗落了教具的动作，帮助学生理解单词drop，并强调其过去式为dropped。

5. 教师用刚才做游戏时的卡片示范句型。

“I like…more than…”来完整表达自己更喜欢做的事情。(教师要特别强调like doing sth.)

e.g.: I like dancing more than singing.

A Let’s Listen and Say

1. New words.

(1) 教师出示故事书封面

T: Look! It’s a dog. It’s a ________ dog.

Can you describe it?

S1: It’s small/cute/clever…

T: (翻开书) Once upon a time, there was a river. Near the river, there was a meat shop. The dog was coming. Maybe it was hungry. So the man gave a piece of meat to the dog. (板书a piece of meat)

(2) 学习新词组a piece of meat。

教师可通过图片或简笔画帮助学生理解新词组。

(3) 学习新单词lost。

T: Guess! Did the dog eat its piece of meat? Who is right? Do you want to know? Look, in the end the dog lost its meat. (板书lost)

T: How did the dog lose its meat? Let’s read the story together.

2. New story.

通过问题导学，逐段学习课文。

T: After getting the meat, what did the dog do?

S: The dog took the meat and walked home. (板书took, walked)

② Question 2

T: How did the dog cross the river?

S: The dog walked on a piece of wood to cross the river. (板书walked，教学wood，cross。)

③ 跟读Paragraph 1&2

T: What did the dog see?

S: It saw another dog in the water. (板书saw)

1. 师生一起复述A部分的寓言小故事。

2. 游戏：我做你猜。

请班上表演力强的一位学生上台，教师出示相关的动词（短语）卡片 (如swim，run，jump，read，sing，dance，play computer games，play basketball…)给他看，该学生做相应的动作，不得说话，其他学生分成六组，进行猜词比赛，猜对最多组，教师给予奖励。

1. Part C.

(1) 出示游泳和跑步的图片。

T: What do you like doing?

教师可引导学生说得更具体：I like swimming more than running.

1. 教师提出问题“Do you like reading stories?” “What else do you like? ” “Which do you like better, ...or...?”导入新课。

2. 教师提问：

②Which book do you like?

③Which book is more interesting?

3. Fast reading and listening.

(1)学生快速阅读D部分课文，回答问题。

T: Peter and Anne like reading. They like different kinds of stories. Now, Let’s read the text. Read it as quickly as possible and try to answer the question: What kinds of books do they like？(板书问题)

(2)学生自主阅读D部分，画出不认识的单词或不懂的句子，并结合上下文猜测其意思。

(3)学生跟着DVD跟读D部分的小故事，并完成练习题。

教师引导学生模仿故事中角色的语音、语调。学生给VCD中的角色配音（教师可以给学生准备扮演角色的头饰）。

4. Intensive reading.

学生反复自读课文，讨论完成课文D部分的练习，然后师生一起核对答案。最后教师引导学生根据图片和上下文的意思，猜测“Reading is good for us.”的含义。

Step 3 Consolidation & Extension

1. 活动：辩论赛。教师出示讨论的主题“What kinds of books are more interesting, science books, space stories or fairy tales?”小组间展开辩论。

2. 评价。教师对学生的表现进行评价，给予肯定与鼓励，引导学生自评与互评，通过评价记录学生的学习情况及进步情况。

Step 1 Revision

游戏：抓间谍。

找一名学生扮演侦探，在台上背对其他学生，教师任指台下一名学生当间谍，将词卡 (如“fairy tale”) 放入该学生的课桌里。稍后，侦探转身找间谍，根据台下学生读出“fairy tale”音量的大小来确定间谍的位置，离得越远声音越大，越近声音越小。找到卡片的学生，教师给予一定的奖励。以此方式，依次复习fairy tale，science book，space story，storybook。

Step 2 Presentation & Practice

E Let’s Write

1. 教师准备一些写有比较级的词卡，让几名学生随机抽取并读出来，然后结合生活中的人或物，用所抽单词造句。这一环节让学生在玩中学，学中玩，提高英语学习的兴趣，为学生口头作文打下基础。

2. 先自由朗读四句话，然后向同桌介绍四位小朋友的喜好。如：Peter likes science books. Anne/Linging…likes… (注意第三人称单数的用法)。

3. 出示Peter的图片。Ask: What kind of books does Peter like? 请学生回答并正确书写在书上，再用同样方法学习2、3、4题。

4. 教师在学生简短回答后，给予完整的回答，然后带读E部分的句子，让学生感知句型的读音和意义。

5. 学生打开书，举一反三，独立完成E部分的练习题。

6. 校正答案。教师指导学生规范书写。

F Let’s Have Fun

1. 教师用课件出示F部分的挂图，学生注意观察并回答教师提问。

T: Dino is going to the lake. How many paths are there?

Ss: There are three paths.

T: Which is longer, Path A or Path B?

2. 学生分组，利用句型“Which is…?”进行口头问答。

3. 学生独立完成F部分练习题。

4. 师生核对答案。教师指导学生回答出完整的句子。

Step 3 Consolidation & Extension

1. 情境对话。

情境创设：班级要开展读书比赛活动了，大家一起去学校图书馆借书，我们应该借什么书呢？为什么？大家一起讨论讨论。

S1: I like fairy tales. It’s more interesting than others.

S2: I want to borrow a science book. It’s more useful than fairy tales.

S3: I think space stories are better. I can learn a lot from these books.

教师在台下巡视，要求学生运用所学的词汇和句型创编对话，对于完成有困难的学生，教师给予相应帮助。教师可适时引导学生：Reading is good for us. We should read more kinds of books.

2. 鼓励小组上台展示，对表现积极、优秀的小组，教师给予一定的奖励。最后，教师补充说明：Reading is good for us. We should read more kinds of books.
