An experience that made me very happy was winning the natin-wide English speech cmpetitin last year. At first, I didn’t knwwhat t write fr my speech, but after talking t my teacher and reading sme bks, I had sme ideas and started writing.Then I practiced my speech many times.
On the day f the cmpetitin, I saw many peple there. This made me feel very nervus. I started t wrry that I wuld frget myspeech. Then I remembered what my teacher tld me -- clse my eyes and take deep breaths. I did that and it made me feel much better. When my turn came, I gave my speech with cnfidence.
I waited anxiusly fr the results, and when I heard that I was the first prize winner, I jumped up and dwn in jy. This experience taught me that being well-prepared is very imprtant. It helps t read a lt, and als t ask peple arund yu fr advice. Mst imprtantly, have cnfidence in yurself!
After schl this afternn, n my way hme I met tw Americans wh lst their way. They frgt the way t the htel where they stayed. As I knew where the htel was, I decided t take them there. Because I nt nly helped tw freigners, but als realized the imprtance f learning a freign language well. I think we shuld try ur best t help each ther.
