设计说明 本单元的对话以表感觉和直觉的系动词的用法为主,表达对事物的感觉评论。先用What’s this?引入事物,再用How does it look/ feel/ smell/ sound/ taste...?及答语It/Sth.looks /feels/smells/sounds/tastes...来练习连系动词的运用,然后总结连系动词,并指出其后接形容词作表语。最后从听力引入课本内容,步步深入,展开对感官动词的学习和运用。 教学目标 通过本单元的学习,让学生达成以下目标 1.知识目标: (1)学会本单元新单词及短语: smell, soft, sour, cookie, pizza, lovely, done, try, pie, sound, salt, jam, for, favourite, ear, have a try, sweet tooth (2)正确使用表感觉和知觉的系动词:smell, taste, feel, sound, look (3)掌握句子的系表结构:link verb + adj. 2.能力目标: (1)能听懂并读懂含有系动词的句子和对话 (2)能够正确朗读系表结构的句子 (3)会运用含有系动词的句子来表达自己的感觉 3.情感目标: 通过听说训练,对比中西方的饮食文化,能够识别不同的形容词所表达的含义以及在表达感受时使用恰当的表情和肢体语言 重点难点 重点:连系动词后接形容词作表语 难点:使用系表结构的句型表达对事物的感觉 教学准备 PPT课件,鲜花,活动1,2,3,6的录音 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up Show the class a flower and make the conversation to revise the word “look”: T:What’s this? Ss: It’s a flower. T:How does it look? Ss: It looks beautiful. Use the clothes the teacher or the student wears to revise the word “feel”. T: Look at the coat/trousers/shirt/…How does it/do they feel? Ss: It feels/They feel soft/comfortable. Show the conversation on the Bb: A:How does it/do they look/feel ? B:It looks/feels/They look/feel… Step 2 Presentation 1. Teach the new words “smell” by showing the picture of chicken and “sound” by playing a piece of nice music. T: How does the chicken smell?/How does the music sound? S:It smells delicious…/It sounds… Teach the word “taste” by showing the picture of yogurt. T: How does the yogurt taste? S:It smells sour… 2. 感官动词feel look smell +形容词 sound taste Step 3 Practice Use the pictures on the screen to practice the conversation below. Then check them. S1:How does/do… look/feel/smell/sound/taste? S2:It/They look(s) /feel(s)/smell(s)/sound(s)/taste(s)… Step 4 Listening 1. Talk about the pictures in Activity 1 with the class, and then ask students to listen and finish it. The answers are: 2 1 3 4 2. Listen again and complete the sentences. The answers are: 1.tastes sweet 2. smells sour 3. feels a bit soft 4. looks very strong Step 5 Listening, reading and finding 1. Listen and answer the question. What food has Betty made ? A pizza and some chocolate cookies, an apple pie and a cake. 2. Read and fill in the table.
3.Read the conversation and find the sentences with sense verbs (感官系动词). 1) Your pizza looks so nice. 2)It looks lovely, it smells delicious, and mm, it tastes good. 3)It doesn’t smell fresh. 4) It smells too strong and it tastes a bit sour. 5)They taste really sweet and they feel soft in the middle. 6)You look very busy! 7)Apple pie sounds nice. 8) It tastes sweet. 9)Good, everything tastes so sweet! 4. Read the conversation following the tape. 5. Read the conversation in pairs. 6. Act it out. Step 6 Language points 1.What a delicious smell!多么美味啊! 这是一个由what引导的感叹句, 感叹句也可以由how 引导,用于修饰形容词或副词。感叹句句型结构如下: (1) What (+ a/an)+形容词+名词 (+ 主语+谓语)! What an interesting book it is! 多么有趣的一本书啊! (2) How +形容词/副词+主语+谓语! What beautiful flowers they are! = How beautiful the flowers are! 多美的花啊! 2. Would you like to try some? 你想尝一些吗? would like to do sth.意为“想要做某事”,其同义短语为want to do sth.。 Would you like to do sth.?的肯定回答常为:Yes, I’d like/love to.否定回答常为 I’d like/love to, but… (说明原因)。 —Would you like to play football with me?你想和我一起去踢足球吗? —Yes, I’d like to. 我很乐意去。 —Would you like to have a picnic with us tomorrow? 你愿意明天和我们去野餐吗? —I’d love to, but I have a piano lesson. 我很乐意去,但是我要上钢琴课。 3.It looks lovely, it smells delicious, and mm, it tastes good.它看起来很可爱, 闻起来很美味,并且尝起来很好。 look, smell, taste意为“看起来”“闻起来”“尝起来”, 另外还有sound“听起来”, feel “摸起来”,都是感官系动词,后面接形容词作表语。 The song sounds beautiful. 这首歌听上去很美妙。 How does the silk shirt feel?这件丝质衬衫摸起来怎么样? It feels soft.它摸上去很柔软。 4.I’m afraid I don’t like cheese. 我恐怕不喜欢奶酪。 be afraid… 意为 “恐怕……”, 常用于结构 be afraid to do sth.“不敢做某事”或be afraid of(doing)sth. “害怕(做)某事”。 She is afraid to go out alone at night. 她害怕晚上一个人出去。 She is afraid of snakes. 她害怕蛇。 Step 7 Practice 1. Finish Activity 4. The answers are:1.1.sweet 2.strong 3.sugar 4.sour 5. soft 6. lovely 2.Finish Activity 5. The answers are: Eye:look/ lovely, strong, soft Hand:feel/ lovely, soft, strong Mouth: taste/sour, strong, sweet, lovely Nose:smell/ sour, strong, sweet, lovely Step 8 Pronunciation and speaking 1. Listen and underline the words the speaker stresses. The answers are: 1. smells, strong, tastes, sour 2. taste, sweet, feel, soft, middle 2.Now listen again and repeat. 3.Work in pairs. Ask and answer about the things in the box. Let students say why they like or do not like them. — Do you like bananas? — Yes, I do. They taste delicious. Do you like flowers? Step 9 Homework 1. Read the conversation. 2. Preview the passage on Page 4.
