形容词是用来描述和修饰名词或代词的一类词，用来说明人或事物的性质和特征。

4. ing形容词和-ed形容词。

“the+形容词”表示一类人或事物。the ld 老人 the rich富人 the pr穷人 the yung 年轻人 作主语指一类人时，谓语用复数。the ld are mre likely t catch a cld.指一类事物时，谓语用单数。the beautiful is nt aleays gd.
1)asleep,awake,alive 等作定语时，放在被修饰名词后。Jnh was the nly by awake all the time.

(一)大多数形容词和副词的都有三个“级”。 1)原级: 常用结构as ... as... 像..….一样 Zhang Hng is as tall as Tm. 2) 比较级 (用于两者之间的比较)常用结构：形容词比较级＋than ... He is taller than I.
3) 最高级(用于三者或三者以上的比较)，常用结构: the + 形容词的最高级＋f / in ... He is the tallest f the three. He is the funniest in his class.
1) 一般情况下，单音节或双音节的形容词（或副词）比较级＋er ， 最高级＋est 如： clever－cleverer－cleverest few－fewer－fewest small－smaller－smallest等。
形容词、副词的比较等级变化
2) 以e结尾的词，比较级＋r，最高级＋st 即可。 如：nice－nicer－nicest cute－cuter－cutest large－larger－largest
3) 以辅音字母＋y结尾的变y为i＋er或est 如: easy－easier－easiest happy－happier－happiest 再如：early , busy , heavy , dirty , lazy也如此。
4) 双写最后一个辅音字母＋er 或 est的词。 fat－fatter－fattest thin－thinner－thinnest ht－htter－httest red－redder－reddest wet－wetter－wettest big－bigger－biggest
5) 多音节和部分双音节的词需要在形容词原级前＋mre构成比较级，＋the mst构成最高级。如： beautiful － mre beautiful － the mst beautiful 又如: ppular, imprtant, interesting, expensive
双音节的词如: careful － mre careful － the mst careful useful － mre useful － the mst useful少数单音节词也是这样，如： pleased－ mre pleased － the mst pleased tired－mre tired －the mst tired
不规则变化 gd —better — best well —better — best bad－wrse － wrst many, much — mre — mst far — farther —farthest (距离远) far — further — furthest (程度深) ld — elder — eldest (长幼) ld — lder —ldest (年龄)
1)肯定句中用“as+形容词/副词原级+as”Bb is as tall as Alan.2)否定句中用“nt s/as+形容词/副词原级+as”She is nt s/as tall as yu.
比较级的用法1.“比较级+than”结构表达一方超过或低于一方的情况。He is taller than yu.
比较级的用法2. “比较级+and+比较级”或“mre and mre+形容词原级”表示“越来越…”My English is better and better.She is mre and mre beautiful.
比较级的用法3.“the+比较级，the+比较级”表示“越…越….”The mre,the better.
比较级的用法4.“nt+比较级+than”表示“一方不如另一方”。I am nt taller than yu.“n+比较级+than”表示“前者和后者一样都不。”I am n taller than yu .

比较级可以用以下词来修饰：much 更加； even 更、甚至；a little 少量，一点儿far 远远；a lt很；a bit 有点等。
