Wow, Peter was second.…D Let’s Read1. 教师创设学校运动会的情境,引出阅读话题,稍后,请学生初读课文,整体感知语篇并完成相应的阅读任务:Please give a title to the passage.2. 听录音,学生跟读课文,抓文段大意,回答问题。Q: How many items were there in the party? What were they?3. 学生圈出文段中的动词过去式以及生词,师生共同释疑,扫清阅读障碍。4. 再次阅读文段,深入理解语篇,小组成员相互交流和讨论,完成文后表格。5. 请一个小组派代表起来汇报结果,师生核对答案。Step 3 Consolidation & ExtensionTo be a little host: 小主持人。请学生担任小主持人,根据D部分的表格内容提示,使用序数词介绍节目表。稍后,教师引导学生复述课文。Step 4 Summary& Homework1. 小结:师生共同总结本课时所学的主要内容。2. 作业:(1)听录音,熟读D部分课文; (2)每组准备一个节目,下节课表演。Unit 11 Who was first?—Who was first/second/...—...was first/second/...C部分创设情境,要求学生能运用本单元重点句型,问答名次,完成表格。D部分文段较长,难度加大,文后的表格题对学生深入理解文段提出了较高要求。教学过程中,教师要抓住“the first item, next, the third item, the fourth item, and then, the last item”等关键词,帮助学生梳理语篇信息。
