    教学目标

    1. Language ability: Learn to talk about health problems and accidents and give some advice.
    1. Learning ability: Learn to figure out the time line of the events.
    2. Thinking ability: It’s important for them to keep healthy every day.

    教学重点

    The vocabulary:

    passenger, trouble, herself, get off, to one’s surprise, agree to, get into trouble

    Target language:

    1. Bus No.26 was going to along Zhonghua Road when the driver saw an old man lying on the side of the road.

    2. She said that the man had a heart problem and should go to the hospital.

    3. He expected most or all of the passengers to get off and wait for the next bus.

    1. Use the target language above to talk about the event.

    2. The usage of “get off, to one’s surprise, agree to, get into trouble”.

    2.Pre-reading

    Look at the headline and picture and then answer the questions.

    3.While-reading

    (1)Listen and find the main idea of each paragraph.

    (2)Read the Para.1 and find out the key words to finish the mind map.

    4.Post-rreading

    (1)Fill in the blanks according to the story.

    教学反思

    We can use the picture in the passage in 3a to help students to predict what the story is about. Before reading, the teacher gets the students to learn the new vocabulary and phrases. Then we can invite them to make some sentences by using the new words and phrases. The most important task is to

    improve the students’ ability of reading comprehension. We can get them to answer the questions based on the passage and retell the story to achieve the goal.
