When I was young, our town was beautiful and clean. But during the past few years, it has changed. People built many factories near the river. It caused the water pollution. Also, the sky is no longer blue. It's dangerous for the environment.

To change this, people have already done a lot. They planted trees and even bought hundreds of robots in different shapes from Japan to help them to clean the river. They all agree that if everyone plays a part in saving our planet-the earth-it is possible for humans to have a better life in the future.

重点突破

will在一般将来时中的用法

（1）will是助动词，意为“将要；将会”，用于一般将来时。一般将来时表示将要发生的事，与表示将来的时间状语连用，常见的时间状语有：in the future（将来），in three days（三天后），this year（今年），next month（下个月），tomorrow（明天），the day after tomorrow（后天），soon（很快）。

（2）will在一般将来时中的句式：

1）肯定句：主语＋will＋动词原形十其他．。will常缩略为’ll。如：

I will／I’ll come back in an hour.我一小时后回来。

2）否定句：主语＋will not／won＇t＋动词原形＋其他．。如：

I won＇t go to Beijing next year.我明年不去北京。

3）一般疑问句：Will＋主语十动词原形十其他？。肯定回答：Yes，主语代词＋will．；否定回答：No，主语代词＋won＇t.。如：

-Will he be an actor in 10 years？10年后他会成为一名演员吗？

-Yes，he will.／No，he won＇t.是的，他会。／不，他不会。

易混辨析

1.more，less和fewer

（1）more是many和much的比较级，其后既可以跟可数名词的复数，也可以跟不可数名词，意为“更多的”。如：

He has more books.他有更多的书。

（2）less是little的比较级，其后只接不可数名词，意为“较少的；更少的”。如：

There is less water in that glass.那个杯子里的水更少。

（3）fewer是few的比较级，其后只接可数名词的复数形式，意为“较少的；少量的”，与less同义。如：

Will there be fewer people in 2050？2050年人会更少吗？

2.pollute 和 pollution

pollute 是动词，意为“污染”，而pollution是不可数名词，意为“污染物”。如：

①We should protect the environment and not pollute it.我们应该保护环境，不污染它。

②These factories are polluting the groundwater. 这些工厂正在污染地下水。

③I think there will be less pollution in the future.  我认为在未来将会有更少的污染。

3.danger和 dangerous

danger是名词，意为“危险”，常用in danger结构，而dangerous是形容词，意为“危险的”。如：

①He drove so fast that I really felt my life was in danger.他开车如此之快，以至于我真的感到我的生命处于危险之中。

②She walked home by herself, although she knew that it was dangerous.她独自走回家，尽管她知道这是危险的。
