1.congratulate

【归纳】①congratulate作及物动词，意为“______”， 过去式为_____ ，过去分词为  ______ ，现在分词为 _____ ，第三人称单数为 _______。

例如：我衷心祝贺你。I congratulate you with all my heart.

 ②congratulate sb. on...意为“______”。

例如:我们祝贺他通过了考试。We congratulated him on having passed the exam.

2.pride 与proud   

【归纳】pride与proud，意为“____”，但pride为名词，常用搭配为 ______或be the pride of。而proud为形容词，常用搭配为 _______。

3. ahead的用法

【归纳】① ahead 意为“____”向前面；是副词，不要把它误认为是名词。例如：前面有危险。There’s danger ahead.

ahead主要用作状语，有时也用作后置定语或表语。例如：前面的路上全是车The road ahead was full of cars.  

②用于 ahead of, 注意以下用法：

▲指时间或空间的“在…之前”。

例如：他比我早走一天。He left one day _____ ____ ____.

▲表示“比…强 (高)” (主要用作表语)。

例如：他的英语比我强。He’s ahead of me in English.

▲用于 ahead of time, 意为“提前；提早”。

例如：工作提前完成了。The work was done ahead of time.  

③用于 go ahead, 注意以下用法：

▲表示同意或允许，意为“______”。例如：

A：May I start?我可以开始了吗?

B：Yes, go ahead. 好，开始吧。

▲表示继续做某事，意为“继续…吧”。

例如：继续讲吧，我们都在听呢! Go ahead, we are all listening.
