(1) 实义动词的一般过去式的变化规则
e.g. I was a primary schl student last year. 去年我是一名小学生。
(2) 一般过去时的含义一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态，常和表示过去的时间状语连用，如yesterday, the day befre yesterday, last year, in 2000, three days ag等。
2)表示过去某一段时间内经常、反复发生的动作。e.g. When Tm was yung, he always asked many strange questins. 当汤姆小的时候，他总是问许多奇怪的问题。
(3) 一般过去时的用法1)表示过去发生的动作或存在的状态。e.g. He had a birthday party last Sunday. 他上周五举办了生日聚会。
3)实义动词的一般过去时也可以与tday, this week, this mrning等 时间状语连用，但动作必须是到说话时已经结束。e.g. I ate a hamburger this mrning. 我今天早上吃了一个汉堡。
(4) 一般过去时的构成1) 肯定句“主语+动词的过去式+其他”e.g. I saw a film last week. 上周我看了一部电影。2) 否定句“主语+didn’t+动词原形+其他”e.g. I didn’t see a film last week. 上周我没有看电影。3) 一般疑问句“Did+主语+动词原形+其他”e.g. —Did yu see a film last week?上周你看电影了吗？ —Yes, I did. / N, I didn’t.是的，我看了。/不，我没有看。4) 特殊疑问句“疑问词+did+主语+动词原形+其他”e.g. —What did yu d last week? 上周你做什么了？ —I saw a film.我看了一场电影。
(5)一般过去时口诀 一般过去时并不难，表示过去动作、状态记心间。 动词要用过去式，时间状语句末站。 否定句很简单，didn’t 站在动词原形前，其他部分不要变。 一般疑问句也好变，did放在句子前，主语、动词原形、其他部分依次站。 特殊疑问句也简单，疑问词加一般疑问句记心间。 最后一条请注意，动词过去式要牢记。
