    UNIT 8 Summer Holiday Is Coming!Lesson 45: Baseball Season设计说明首先老师通过关于棒球运动的问题进行对话,通过展示图片和对棒球文化的了解以及课本中的歌曲进入到本课时的话题Baseball Season。接下来学习本课词汇并通过练习题检测学生的掌握情况;然后通过读课文回答问题学习课本内容并通过听读找短语进一步巩固,并积累重要短语。之后,通过Let’s Do It!中的2题进行听力练习并进一步了解Greg喜欢的运动(棒球运动)然后讲解Let’s Do It!4题出现的关于棒球的习语,并完成匹配。最后完成Let’s Do It!3题,对“will”和“be going to”的用法进行巩固。本节课从多个角度、多形式上对语言知识进行练习,从而达到教学目的,实现教学目标。 教学目标通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标:1.知识目标掌握单词:baseball, pop, if, ever, shame接触单词:snack, root, toot短语和句型:play against..., take…out, root for…If they don’t win, it’s a shame.It became very popular there in the 1840’s. 2.能力目标(1) 能够正确运用所学词汇if引导的条件状语从句(2) 能简单谈论自己喜欢的运动项目3.情感目标了解棒球的特点,增进学生们对于外国的课外活动的了解。重点难点1. 重点:能够正确运用所学词汇if引导的条件状语从句2. 难点:能简单谈论自己喜欢的运动项目教学准备PPT 课件;本课节用到的录音。授课时数1课时教学过程Step 1 Lead-in  1. Have a free talk with students about baseball.T: Do you know baseball?Ss: Yes.T:What do you know about baseball?S1:It began in the U.K.S2:It’s a team ball gameS3:Each team has at least nine players.S4:It is popular in the U.S. and Japan.S5:It was played at the Olympics in 1992.S6:Alexander Joy Cartwright is the father of baseball. He is from America.2. Show some pictures about baseball. Then share some baseball culture. About baseball    Baseball is the national sport of the U.S. It became very popular there in the 1840’s. “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” is a popular song about baseball. Almost every baseball fan can sing this song. Jack Norworth wrote the words in 1908. But he never went to a baseball game before he wrote the song.3. Let students listen to the song “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” and sing along with it.       Take me out to the ball game      Take me out to the ball game.      Take me out to the fair!      Buy me some hot dogs and lots of snacks.      I don’t care if I ever get back,      For it’s root toot toot for the home team.      If they don’t win, it’s a shame,      For it’s one, two, three and you’re out,      At the old ball game!Step 2 Presentation1. Teach students to learn about the new words .baseball /ˈbeɪsbɔːl/ n. 棒球snack /snæk/ n. 点心;小吃pop /pɒp/ n. 汽水if /ɪf/ conj. 如果;假若ever /ˈevə/ adv. 曾经;究竟;到底root /rt/ n. & v. 加油toot /tt/ n.嘟嘟(喇叭声)shame /ʃeɪm/ n. 羞愧;惭愧2. Ask students to read them for some times and know their meanings.3. Let students practice the new words. (4) His team will usually practice in the morning and on weekends, they will often play against other teams.  (5) His family and friends will come and watch him play. 2. Let students listen to the tape and find the following phrases. Then translate them into Chinese.play against……比赛takeout……出去root for……加油,为……打气Step 4 Listening1. On weekendswe will often play against other teams.  在周末,我们经常会同其他队比赛。         play against... 意思是……打对抗赛。其中,against作介词,意为违反;反对;靠着What team did you play against in the final match在决赛中你们队和哪个队进行比赛?We’re playing against that team next week.下周我们要和那个队打比赛。2. My family and friends will come and watch me play. 我的家人和朋友会来看我打球。    watch 作及物动词时,意为观看;注视,注意常用搭配:watch sb. do sth. 意为观看某人做某事,强调看见整个过程或动作经常发生; watch sb. doing sth. 意为看见某人正在做某事,强调看见某个动作正在进行。He often watches her daughter dance. 他经常看他女儿跳舞。I watched a girl dancing in the park. 我看到一个女孩正在公园里跳舞。【辨析】watch, look see   watch “观看,注视。指较长时间集中注意力去看电视或比赛等,后面可以直接加宾语。   look 表示主动地,有意识看,侧重看的动作,常用作不及物动词,接宾语时,其前加 at  see 通常指看的结果,意思为看见,看到。也用于看电影, see a film The man _________ his daughter with love.  Bob __________ football game on TV.   He_________ around but _____nothing. Answers: watches; watches; looked; saw3. If they don’t win, it’s a shame… 如果他们赢不了,那就太丢人了……if 意为如果,引导条件状语从句。主句用一般将来时,从句用一般现在时。I will call you if he comes back. 如果他回来我会给你打电话的。  if词义用途结构用法如果引导条件状语从句主句使用一般将来时或主句为祈使句或主句含有情态动词时,从句常用一般现在时表将来是否引导宾语从句主句是一般现在时,从句根据具体情况使用相应时态;主句是一般过去时,从句使用相应的过去时态。4. It became very popular there in the 1840’s. 19世纪40年代在美国变得非常流行。in the 1840’s 意为19世纪40年代。当表示 ……世纪或……年代时,用“in the+年份’s/ 年份s” 结构。  This kind of mobile phone was created in the 1990’s/1990s.   这款手机制造于20世纪90年代。  The man was born in the 1950s. 这位男士生于20世纪50年代。 Step 9 Homework1.
