    教学目标

    1.Language ability: To learn how to use “could ” and “should” to give advice.

    2.Learning ability:  ① Be able to give someone advice.  Be able to talk about problems. 

    3.Thinking ability: ①Let the students know how to give advice. ②Let the students know how to do it when they meet problems in his/her life.

    教学重点

    The vocabulary:

    look through; guess; deal; big deal; work out; on the phone; have a fight with; give back; be angry with; so that.

    Target language:

    1. But why dont you forget about it so that you can be friends again?

    2. Although shes wrong, its not a big deal.

    3. You should call him so that you can say youre sorry.

    教学难点

    To learn how to use “could ” and “should” to give advice.

    Teacher Preparation: multimedia courseware, textbook recordings

    Student Preparation: pre-class preparation

    教学过程

    1.Review words

    look through快速查看;浏览 

    guess/ges/v.猜测;估计 

    deal/diːl/n.协议;交易

    big deal重要的事 

    work out成功地发展;解决 

    2.lead in

    (1)Ask students questions :

    Have you ever had a fight with your friend?

    How did you solve the problem?

    (2)Show some ways to solve the problems.

    3.While-listening

    (1)Listen and finish 2a,2b, then check the answers.

    (2)Read listening materials and explain the language points.

    4.Post-listening

    (1)Role play 2c and explain some phrases.

    (2)Make short conversations with “What’s the matter?” “ You should ...?”.

    (3)Ask students to show the conversations they made.

    5.Presentation

    Look at the picture below. Dave and Kim are talking about Kim’s problem.

    (1)Try to answer the two questions.

    ①How does Kim look?②Can you guess what made Kim unhappy ?

    (2) Watch the video and answer the questions.

    1. How does Kim feel about her sister after her sister gave back the things?

    2. Does Dave think it is all right for Kim’s sister to take away Kim’s things?
